Street Fighter V Beta Thread: Welcome, future '16ers! (Currently Inactive!)

Perhaps, but he's right that this is the point of the beta. They need to try to find the what's wrong and get it fixed before the game is released. And this is an actual beta unlike some games where they'll call a demo a beta.

Sure, I agree. My point is - they're getting the data they need. The release should not have issues if they are testing and experiencing them this early.

Some people in here sure as hell need to figure out what a beta is and that it is not "hey play the game early for free".

But but the expectation to play?

Haha, nah I rather we do our jobs right now, which is stress the servers, and if we happen to get in, play it, and report on it.

It's a little different when you throw down a preorder for a beta.

Just a little.

Yeah, no.
Do not try that considering people either A) get it from Amazon where they do not charge until the game ships and you still get your code and can cancel anytime or B) Gamestop it, put your money down and get your code and then cancel the pre-order.
No sympathy.
It is a beta so this can get knocked out before release.

Be kind of hard to know if they can handle the traffic, or how much traffic there would potentially be, without a beta like this.
They need to learn how to Auto-scale properly within their net code. Then get a ton of load balancers for them bootleg game servers.

Has anyone actually gotten into a match yet?

They can always make projections, and then they should rent more than what they think they need. You can buy cloud server space that's used as needed. There's no reason for them to not be ready.

I've had two. Haven't been in since, but I'm off to take care of some business. This will be around in a better working capacity later. Time is too valuable to sit here tonight!
