First Forza Motorsport 6 Direct Feed at 60 fps(Gamersyde)

The 3d puddles/aquaplaning is the best new feature. It will hopefully be added in more games. Night races also look incredible. Will it be available for every track? I know rain won't be, but it'd be a blast to try Nordschleife in total darkness !!

Word is it's not on every track, but it sounds like most of them.

What is Forza 6 then?
It also has from point to point tracks. Anyway, in DC lightning, GI, wheather effects are the best around in racing genre for now.

Good thing it's not Forza Weather Simulator 6. Why is DC even being discussed, it's 30fps and the physics simulation is non existent in comparison.

When i said something the opposite, they call me a troll. Whatever. Sorry man, but PCARS with 20+ cars with rain is pretty stable 60 on PS4.

PD really achieved amazing things on last-gen. You underestimate GPGPU and fine grain compute on PS4 which is the lack of on Xbone.

Yes, i did. So? You corrected me then. Thank you for that.

Do you shop at bestbuy?

Different Xbox thread, same old tiring graphical e-peen being hurt.

I guess I could have just forgotten, but I clearly don't remember Xbox fans going into each PS3 thread and saying 360 has better graphics.

The Video's for this game make it look pretty good. I was however bored by Forza 5. Hoping the career path in 6 is more engaging.

Yea, it's getting pretty sad at this point. No way this kind of crap is tolerated to this degree in PS4 exclusive title threads. And it always happens in every xbox thread. Basically, just get use to it. And if we complain about it then we're obviously just imagining something that isn't there. It's our persecution complex.

Best cross-thread reference I've seen in a while.

Alright, sounds good. Fingers crossed for Nordschleife and Rio.
Hoping for that as well.

Of course I will buy the new Forza.
But I am a little disappointed about the graphics and that all comes down to the lighting engine they use.
The game looks a lot cleaner then 5 but it is the lighting they really struggle with.
And it seems it doesn't get any attention.
Does anyone knows if this is the way they want it to be or is it a limitation of the hardware? I would bet if they sacrificed on a few less important things and focussed on the lighting the game would be much more impressive.

Can you not read, my point is on this generation of consoles closed circuit racers, should be 60fps, which Forza is.

DC doesn't really need the 60fps, even though it would be nice as it isn't asking the same level of input as you need in a game with a heavier sim approach. Same goes for FH2 it would be nice but it quite frankly isn't necessary for an enjoyable experience, what is important is consistency. If DC was more sim focused then yeah it probably would need to be 60fps, just like if you play FM or GT on the bog standard settings the game doesn't need to be 60fps it is only really necessary if you play with assists off and have the skill to be pushing the game, otherwise it is just aesthetically more pleasing.

Edit: Forza 6 look fantastic. The fan boy nonsense is unnecessary, and what does it matter if one game is visually better in certain areas the experiences are totally different and should be praised that devs are doing different things rather than cupping each others balls.

Whether it's consistent or not doesn't matter. If people are being disruptive, report to a mod then ignore the offending party.

The Xbox One was a smaller CPU reserve than the PS4, in fact an almost entire CPU core is open to devs on Xbox One over PS4.

Should also note that GPGPU reserve takes away from graphical power that can be used for other things.

Everything has a trade off.

Rivals is a mode that is basically timetrials that let you continually challenge better and better opponents for faster lap times.

You can earn money by beating your rivals.

Rain/Night are only on tracks that they think it makes sense to have it on. I'm guessing this is done because of the work load required to make every track capable of rain and night racing.

You won't see rain on Yas Marina... but it also doesn't rain a lot where Yas Marina is located.

Your not the only one who has wrong information about this nor do I want to sound like I'm singling you out but using the GPU for computing purposes does not in any way shape or form marginalise graphics. The whole point of GPGPU compute is the fact that GPUs have so many idol pipelines that are not in use 100% of the time.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-fifa-15-face-off

Digital Foundry didn't do a NBA 2k15 analysis but I've found people commenting on framerate drops.

I don't really count sports games anyway, they are most always yearly franchises and they are always in tight quarters with nothing unexpected.

At least racing games will have huge tracks like Nurburgring and can go from one car to 24 at a moments notice.

Gamersyde noted that it still suffers badly from tearing.

+ Metro redux And why wouldn't you count fifa. It's a game and is AAA fits the criteria you asked for.

OT - Looks great. The rain and night racing look great but it clear the AA issues are still present.

Pm a mod, I've generally found they've been pretty good at responding and sorting it out.

What's wrong with praising a game, hyperbole or not, when the topic is intended for that game? If you think that simple praise is "bait" when people are coming into the thread just to shit on it, I'm fairly certain it's not me in the wrong.

NO, you are making a very bold claim that just asks for rebuttals and then people complain when said rebuttals come. But i digress...

Some people here are really trying to justify there purchase by downplaying the other, like in every thread.

Ontopic: It looks incredible, I really don't how I will buy all this games for the holidays

The lighting has had this style since Forza Motorsport 3, so I assume it's the way the developers wanted it to be. Also, lighting is one of the more resource intensive tasks, so they couldn't sacrifice a few small things to make room for better lighting, they would need to sacrifice a major thing, like frame rate or resolution.

Glad to see Helios deliver. I'll have to watch these when I'm home.

Metro Redux suffers from tearing.

Fifa, as I posted, drops to half the framerate in certain modes.

GPGPU can also take away power that could otherwise be used for graphical purposes.

This looks great, I can't understand the need to compare game x with y.

To be honest, I only have a PS4 and when I got my first PS3 I wasted my time defending it against the 360.. With that said, I think that this game is quite an achievement so early into this gen, where every game release couldn't maintain a stable framerate or resolution, let alone both.

Kudos to MS and T10 for making such a great game.

Are you really surprised at the reactions/interactions when there are posts that are basically asking to be argued?

This game will definitely be the technical marvel for a good few years. Having all of that go on at 1080p60 is amazing.

Looks much improved from Forza 5, especially anti-aliasing. Rain looks pretty good. Not very impressed by night driving.

This game can't come soon enough. I need another good racer in my life! Best thing is I'll sit and marvel and the updated graphics, weather and night races and not obsess over what fps the reflections are running at...

How can they keep making these every two years when it takes PD so much time to make GT? Game looks amazing BTW.

To be fair, outside of Gran Turismo 5, the GT series has been released pretty consistently on a 2-3 year dev cycle.

If Yamauchi keeps his word about GT7 coming out in 2016, that will be on a three year dev cycle as well.

I have been at work since 6am this morning, saw the topic and been salivating waiting to get home and watch this on my screen that I use for gaming. WOW, it is impressive. Looks so damn smooth. IQ definitely looks improved, but still some aliasing on fences and such, but such a big jump from Forza 5.

It was worth the wait...now Helio's, give us the same thing. 3 laps on Rio, 1st lap 1st person, 2nd lap 3rd person, final lap cockpit. Include pre-race footage and post race footage.

Lastly, I really hope they have another time of day setting for the Rio Track. Having that at sunset or sunrise would be great to see and add variety.

I loved Horizon 2, I didn't play Forza 5 because of Meh reviews and downgrade talk. Is this official Xbox One Footage or any talk that this is a DirectX12 game? Looks awesome!

I love that Rio course. I don't think it's ever going to get old racing there.

Yeah it does look really good. I wonder how many ribbons they are going to make out of the environment? I would say if they can make 3 variations of the course that would be really good...even better if each variation was set at a different TOD.
