Will we see actual gameplay running on a retail X1 or...........something else?
Not... this......... again............
They're hinting at a third franchise? What do people think it will end up being?
Pretty sure this is a valid question.
Didnt have a X1 when F5 was announced (so didnt watch MS conferences) but before that I seem to remember pre rendered footage to announce the first 4.
And yes, there were some games that were - categorically, without a shadow of a doubt - running on Xbox One hardware. It'll come as little surprise to learn that first party software was more likely to be showcased running on the new console, with Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 5 the most high profile title we saw that was visibly operating on the actual unit.
Probably PCs running Windows 7.
Forza Motorsport 6 has already been announced, months ago.
Digital Foundry said themselves that without a shadow of a doubt the original Forza 5 reveal ran on real Xbox One hardware.
Did they show gameplay or a trailer to announce it?
Gameplay would be nice but a trailer with a decent backing track always gets me hyped regardless.
Rumbled...
Seriously, all you'll see will be captured direct from Xbox One.

Do you remember last year's reveal of Forza Horizon 2 with a trailer using footage from an Xbox One console?

Can you confirm double rainbows for FM6?
No double rainbows, sorry. We don't want to blow up the internet lol.
So you are confirming a rainbow, at least. Can't have rainbows without rain.No double rainbows, sorry. We don't want to blow up the internet lol.
Agree. They wont go below 60fps and I don't think they will go below 1080p. It is all a bit interesting to increase the car count that much and then introduce these long wanted features but yet still maintain resolution and frame rate. Maybe AI cars are just square boxes with square wheels to make up for resources used elsewhere.
I'm not sure this game will be 1920x1080 all the time. I'm speculating a dynamic resolution will be part of the experience
For a racing game running at 60fps and dynamic resolution? That would be jarring to say the least. Going down a straight away with 14 other cars at 200mph and then at the turn the resolution changes to 900p would be horrid and jarring to say the least.
I am being a bit optimistic myself about them doing all this at 1080p/60, but dynamic res in a racing games does not sound like a solution that would be all that great while playing.
Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if all MS first party games are 1080p even if visuals take a hit, just so they can advertise 1080p and try to get rid of the whole "1080pr" "900p" discussion surrounding XBO.I'm not sure this game will be 1920x1080 all the time. Oh yeah, if there was one little feature that I would really like to see, it's the adjustable view in cockpit (like pCARS does).Fingers crossed for an adjustable cockpit cam!

Depends how far from the tv you sit.I quite oftenn read on here that you can't really see the difference between 1080p and 900p.
I'm sure it will be fine if they have to do it.

Technically, with those great looking cockpits, this should be easy for T10. I doubt they'll let us change FOV though, because it might change the sense of speed, which could make it feel slower and then they wouldn't want it to be streamed in 60fps and discourage possible customers. For me FM5's cockpit view is too far away and too wide-angle, but it's still ok.
I really hope for seat-adjustment in 4 directions (y- and z-axis) with the same FOV though... that really isn't asked too much.
That gold and black on the exclusive Le Mans controller would be sweet if it works?![]()

I agree, dashcam should be an industry standard in racers. We need driveclubs dashboard cam. That's what we need.
Best view to use IMO, especially if you're using a wheel.
I find the biggest clue is when they don't at least make the HUD 1080p. That's always a much more obvious giveaway than the game's resolution.

All games render UI at 1080p on Xbox One because it's done on a different pane.
ODST doesn't, as a recent example. I thought there was another too.

See above. The game is rendered at 1080p, but the HUD is sub-1080p. It must be rendered independently, but why it's less is odd.
I wouldn't take that Amazon.de description as confirmation though.
According to Amazon France FM5 was supposed to feature 24 cars races.
Now i'm sure at some point T10 did target 24 cars on the track, and that's how that made it into Amazon description, but it appears they were only able to hit that number with this sequel.
Dynamic TOD and weather are a pretty significant leap. If this is the case, i'm really curious to see how visuals are affected in terms of shadows resolution and lighting
Soon now![]()
24 cars is definitely real, not just a target.
Look at the top left of the screen.
