Project CARS delayed again to mid-May

Nope, they've lost me. May is Wolfenstein: The Old Blood, Final Fantasy X / X2 - HD, Witcher 3 and then Batman at the start of June. Maybe revisit at discounted prices around August (or more likely full price when they actually release in August)

Not too surprised. There are still some big issues in the builds they give out daily to their crowdfunding members...It's in a very good state generally but some weird stuff that needs to be exterminated first...

If the game comes in nice fine working condition then this is okay. But if after all these delays its released as a broken mess like AC: Unity or Halo: MCC then I'll be very very pissed.

It's not ready yet so they want a bit more time to get a good product out the door.

I don't see the problem with this.

To be fair, the ridiculous amount of tracks in this (i pray to god they don't hold some back for DLC) is far beyond what you would get in something like Forza or Gran Turismo, or any big budget studio game.
I find it hard to feel angry about this when they are giving us so much content.

This makes me mad that I preodered. I was really looking forward to this. Maybe it's being delayed so that wheel support can be added for Logitech wheels (DFGT in particular) ;-)

Oh well, now I can buy The Show 15 and not feel bad about it.

at first I was hyped because this was supposed to be the first true current gen sim, but after all these delays I kinda lost interest, now I might get it in steam next summer/winter sale or something.

Slightly Mad Studios really dropped the ball here.

You can always buy The Show and not feel bad about it.

Jesus christ, how many delays can this game have, make a realistic projection finally. Morpheus implementation better be ready for Q1 2016 cause that will be an important launch title.

I'm itching to play this game, got the wheel ready and waiting. It's been sated with DriveClub at the moment but I really want all those real word tracks and a go at a slightly more "Sim" type game. Sucks it's been delayed again.

I'm going to guess Witcher 3 gets delayed again as well.

Wouldn't surprise me.

I'm wondering if we should take a year off gaming in 2015, earn some money while devs concentrate on the games and then we go gaming crazy in 2016 with title after title lined up for us.

I seriously doubt the WiiU version will ever see the light of day... Hope I'm wrong

Yup. This will entirely be an Aliens CM Wii U 'bait and switch its-still-coming-guys' situation and thats a shame.

Edit: Not a shame Wii U owners were spared Aliens CM I grant you

It's a generation of delays. Almost all the big games delayed.

Must be tough developing for next gen.

Hmm, bummer. The nod to fans with the complementary content at launch is a nice gesture. Hype maintained.

What, content that we should be getting anyway?
"Hey Mike, see that content that's in the game, yeah? Well just tell them customers that some of it is free as compensation!"

These incremental delays are really hurting them. Should have just pushed back by six months to begin with instead of doing it a month at a time.

So that is the reason the game wasn't available to preorder on PSN or available to preload on XB1 despite being 3 weeks from release which of course would mean it was already gold. Now we know why.

There's pushing it back two weeks and then there's pushing it back 2 months.... What the fuck is wrong with this game?

Not that it matters much but this is the 3rd delay but it's also a game that people are already playing it for years on the PC. The first delay was from Fall 2014 to Early 2015.

The 2 week delay never made sense to me unless it was a business decision from Namco regarding FY accounting or some unexpected issue with availability in the plant disk manufacturing. If you want to give devs more time to solve issues you give them a lot more time than just 2 extra weeks especially to avoid another delay. This makes a lot more sense if you want me to buy into the "giving us time to polish and ready to a launch with minimal issues".

Regardless still interested in the game. Why would a delay impact my desire to get a game I'm interested in?

I'm going to guess Witcher 3 gets delayed again as well.

I'm with you on this and I have the game preordered on PSN because of that 10% sale. No reason behind it only a guess that will end up being delayed until Fall 2015.

The last delay thread was all; "take all the time you need guys! As long as it's great!"

The mood sure changed quickly.

People are hypocrites.

From reading threads like this I'm sure people would rather bitch and moan about an unfinished/broken game these days.

Delaying again like this shows a measure of incompetence, which is troubling. Delays happen in the industry, but if you have to set a new date three times over the course of six months...

Definitely won't be picking this game up until it hits a really low Steam sale price now. One delay is okay, two delays is an absolutely push, but anymore than that and you've totally lost my faith in your production team.

Don't actually mind this, far to much to play at the moment but I tend to be weak when a game launches that I want and buy it even if I won't have time ti play it. No issues with this getting delayed. I wonder if they'l get around to a Wii U version?

ffs.. FFS

It's a small studio and the game was crowd funded and has been tested by those of us who backed it over the last few years.

These things happen. It's not a sign of incompetence at all considering the circumstances.

If you want to see incompetence look at AC:Unity from Ubisoft last year.
