Project CARS delayed again to mid-May

“Despite our long heritage and pedigree in making critically-acclaimed racing games, Project Cars is by far the grandest and most intricately detailed of them all,” Slightly Mad Stuios boss Ian Bell said in a press release. “Despite therefore the game being 99.9% complete, the remaining 0.1% attending to small issues and bugs has been tricky to anticipate. We’re absolutely dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking experience and by targeting mid-May fans can be assured that’s what they’ll receive.”

Bell continued, “Again, we want to thank our fans for their support and patience on this matter. There’s a high expectancy from racing fans around the world that Project Cars is going to be an exciting new contender in the simulation racing space and we firmly believe gamers deserve it to be in its most complete and polished state when they come to play it on day one.”

Slightly Mad plans to offer “some free content” to all players as compensation for the delay.

“This gift, that we’re sure is going to excite fans, will be available from day one and revealed shortly,” Bell said. “Keep an eye on our website for more info.”

I really want to give this game a shot but at this rate Forza 6 will be out only a few months after this has released, might not be worth it to me personally.

Still, keeping an eye out.
 
Another delay, no good. I am upgrading my computer for this game, so I guess that means I'll have even more time to get some new parts in.
 
I really don't care about the U4 delay, but this one...

There's pushing it back two weeks and then there's pushing it back 2 months.... What the fuck is wrong with this game?
 
Personally find it very suspicious. At some point they're going to have to start printing discs, so they must have foreseen this additional delay. There's no reason to think it won't be delayed further after May.

All delays are not created equal
I'm no expert, but I think people might view this delay with more alarm than the delay of Uncharted 4.
But I don't know anything about anything, and this game might be the next best thing since sliced bread
 
DriveClub has been consuming my PS4 time the past few months, and will for the coming months, so it doesn't bother me. It's annoying, but no use releasing a game with bugs.
 
Oh my god another delayed game... But it's nice they are focusing on fixing bugs and stuff, but still. What is happening today I just hope Nintendo doesn't do it's part and announce that Zelda U will be delayed.
 
For all the talk about how much easier it would be to develop games this gen....these delays aren't really helping with that message.
