Not sure how I feel about attributes in this game so far. having kind of universal effects from them like might affecting all damage or int effecting all duration time and aoe across all classes sounds really cool but wouldn't that make for a lot of pretty similar builds? I'm not in the bb so I'd love to hear what you guys think.
Actually the opposite. It's a pretty dam good system at the moment. You shouldn't really pay attention to the "name" of the attribute. You might be thinking, intellect on a Barbarian da fuq? But in actuality, intellect is quite good on a Barbarian and you can increase the AoE of his passive Carnage attacks which do more AoE damage around your primary target essentially.
If you want a tanky-orientated fighter, sacrifice some might for resolve and more constitution, but if you want a DPS-orientated fighter, pump that might.
It's a flexible attribute system and you can make a lot of interesting nuanced builds by maxing a few of the attributes. None of the attributes are dump stats because you will get some hefty penalties if you take out all the points of said attribute. Focusing on 3-4 attributes can really hone your specific class build. You can definitely make your typical ranged wizard, but can also make a "muscle" wizard (melee wizard) by allocating your points differently. No build is bad, and you can't make a gimped build that will hinder your progress throughout the game.
