I forgot Love My Life by Ebine Yamaji, which is notable because it got a Japanese movie adaptation. I don't know if it ever got translated though, and the artist is one of those people who were around for a few years and then disappeared... like Hiyori Otsu.
I do think Jin Takemiya is my favourite yuri mangaka at the moment though.

As the turn of the millenium, and with it, signs of profound changes, approaches, two young men make a vow to turn Japan upside-down. One under the spotlight, challenging the political parties of the old, the other operating in the shadows, seizing control of the yakuza world, all for the purpose of invigorating a Japanese society that's growing complacent and passive.
With its gripping and reasonably realistic story accompanied with sublime and detailed art, it is safe to say that Sanctuary depicts one of, if not the best political intrigues I have ever been given the pleasure to read. The characters in particular are very inspiring in their convictions, and the intricate plot with multiple layers of schemes, betrayals and turnabouts, displaying in full the importance of connections and financial resources, but also of charisma and vision, is a delight to follow. The unbreakable friendship between the two protagonists is also very moving, as well as their absolute determination in bringing progress and youth in an environment bogged down by old, conservative ideas and dominated by old people.
Unfortunately, the manga itself isn't immune to outdated dogmas, and as such one has to lament the way women are treated in it: little more than decoration and objects of sexual gratification. Of course, blatant sexism isn't anything surprising in this medium (or any other for that matter), but the blatant machismo and patriarchal attitudes are pretty appalling. The occasional thinly-veiled nationalism is also rather laughable, and one has to wonder if these themes were due to the political and societal values that were popular back during its publication (and still are right now).
Another flaw is that the two protagonists are also too perfect, with little going awry as a direct consequence of their actions, with them always saying the right words and coming up with the right plans. As a result, their character barely experiences any development, and they grow to be pretty dull. Even though their backstory is pretty interesting, there comes a point where it simply isn't enough to offset their static personalities. At times, one could even feel that the story was build around the two, for the two.
All things told, Sanctuary is an inspiring read that tells the story of people celebrating change, of people desiring progress, of people upholding their convictions. A gripping story about the conflict between the new and the old, even though it itself somewhat suffers from the dated ideas of its era.

It is my favourite ongoing (heh) Shonen Jump series yet I can't even hope to get a chapter
Edit: Toriko is only higher for me right now (as the top ongoing Shonen Jump series....not including other ongoing series from other publishers/other genres like Seinien) since
1. it isn't on hiatus
2. The art is consistent as it doesn't become scribbles randomly for some chapters ( A thing that HXH suffers even though the non effected art is nice for its setting) this sucks especially when you collect the volumes
