I hear ya. Just short of taking a language course or something I can't push myself to learn Japanese on my own time. A manga would probably make it somewhat entertaining.Aww.
A manga guide to Japanese would be nice though!
I know right? It's great. Pegasus is one of my favorite characters ever.
The fact that the newest Tales game may have tarnished the brand in Japan and will forever be known as the one with the missing waifu, is hysterical.

That sounds really dumb, what happened?
Persona 5 to have 1 waifu and 1 husbando DLC playable characters.
Mayhem ensues.
Japan is bitter
Feel free to read the rest of the thread for more reasons why.

Course the real fans of the franchise won't give two shits about the issue.uhhh, no, lol
The biggest Tales fans (that ones that buys the expensive merchandise and go to their events to buy their expensive merchandise) is primarily female. They don't care about some boring waifu.
Now that you've said this, I'm imagining Doujima pulling strings in order to drag Soma further into Erina's orbit (or vice-versa). There will be some shounenesque reason, like Erina's talent will eventually stagnate without someone around toannoychallenge her.

I think Erina is like an Akame situation where the author introduces, but has trouble integrating, a character into the story.
It takes random contrivances for them to even meet, let alone have Erina actually progress as a character.
Ok Dragons Rioting is actually pretty bad back to TLR
Alice in Borderland 18-19
Surprisingly fast enacting of the plan. Wasn't really prepared for how fast it was done.
But the other dreaded part of 'beach' type survival game arcs has reared it's ugly head at the end of ch19.
Just look at the character polls that happen every year at Tales Festival. Yuri and Leon are absent because they won so many times that they just put them in a Hall of Fame.
ludger is number one
are you fucking kidding me
What's with the sudden flood of Assassination Classroom chapters? Are we that far behind?

I think we're like 7 or 8 still.
I think we're like 7 or 8 still.
The newest game's main character almost always gets a large boost in popularity. And with the two kings, Yuri and Leon out of the running, Ludger wins. (for good measure)
Watch Slay take the crown this year. (for good measure again)

Oyasumi Punpun Completed
Well that manga was an interesting roller coaster to say the least. Maybe a lot of themes flew over my head since I'm still 23 and have much to learn but I learned more about myself and about others around me. Through the halfway point, the manga started to feel like a biography whenwhich solidified it even more for me.the MC is see's the possibly MC for his lover's manga
Now to get into the nitty gritty. Ever since the beginning,The more I looked for an answer as I read, the less it made sense until I gave up and read it until the end. Then I finally understood, its not supposed to make sense or the author somehow made it so that theI asked myself, why the hell would you use a bird-like thing as a character? The whole deal withbird is suppose to an allegory for humans, being trapped in a cage for life, confused as to what they have to do throughout life and all that jazz.was possiblythat weird god of his who looked like some japanese guy with an afrohis own superego all along and he himself was the ego that came from the id.
For those of you who don't know, popular Freudian psychology (most of it is archaic nowadays) had a popular belief that the brain was separated into three parts (its still used nowadays, just not as heavily), the superego, which was our inner most desires untamed, the ego, which was our desires tempered/controlled and our id, what actually funneled and controlled the superego's response. I'm pretty sure everyone here has had an instance of wanting to do something violent/sketchy/hypocritical/mean at some point in their life's but didn't because the id was there to stop them. The constant struggle of balancing your desires and mental stability was troubling to say the least for the protagonist and I honestly believed some from ofmanners when cornered.bipolar depression runs in the family since the mother, uncle and son all act in haphazard
Aside from that digression and lecture on psychology, the overall story was good, not amazing and some of it was predictable. However, it still had some level of impact that left me thinking: By god, I can somehow relate to this bastard! Its shocking yes (sarcastically speaking). Although, we have to realize we all have sexual urges that want to be pleased but we hold ourselves back. We have people we are jealous of and want to hurt. There are moments in our life where we believe the only way out of an issue is through inflicting ourselves with pain to escape from reality or even to the point of suicide. This is why we are so attached to the story, its because we were once, are, or will be in his position somewhere down the road of life. Maybe not as dramatically or violently (hopefully), but emotionally. An interesting theory I'd like to have is to say that the weird hippy guyAlso, I felt like Aiko was the real victim throughout this entire story, even though the author never bothered to fully develop her. The tools were right there to do it but it was executed poorly. She was still one of my favorite characters, was all along narrating the life for our MC, yes the MC. I don't have any other reasons as to why the guy would be in the story otherwise, maybe as an enhancer to the story? lol doubt that.Other than that, the ending was neither good or bad, its reality. Reality has a lot more gray than white or black in it than we want to realize and this shows that. We are a slave to our emotions and we honestly can't help it sometimes, but through the power of communicating with others, it can be maintained and make life livable for those out there who say otherwise. Lastly, to talk back on the ending, time is a never ending cycle that constantly repeats itself, people making the same mistakes, falling in love, hurting people, etc. I think this was the hippy's message, that time is doomed to repeat itself and allow tragedies like these occur again and again without anyone doing anything to stop it. If you were to ask me my opinion on the ending, (I'm looking at both you Zweizer and Uso), I'd say the ending was on a somber yet delightful note. Life has its ups and downs, but there'll reach a time when you start to live life through the experiences and tribulations you've overcome and start to enjoy it, hence becoming an adult, in my opinion.sucks that she committed suicide due to her own guilt, she could have gotten on probation just like Punpun due to her situation
P.S.
I found it kind of interesting how through the perspective of the MC, the adults become less neurotic and more approachable, showing as he matured, he began to understand adults more and more.
THERE I READ IT! NOW NO ONE HAS TO TELL ME TO READ IT AGAIN! IT WAS ENOUGH OF A ROLLERCOASTER ON MY POOR HEART!
I never really thought as Aiko as a victim past her situation with her mother and being just as broken as Punpun himself. She was a person with flaws, and the reason why we never got to see more of her true self past the 30 chapters she and Punpun were on the run was because she wasn't a real person up to that point. She was an idol, perfection that Punpun could not have.

I agree on the most part, it could've have been executed a little better. The whole manga is starting to affect me after getting some time to collect my thoughts... Holy hell that was one crazy experience... I need someone to hold me ;_;
