Oordinarily I'd say no way, but with the surprise showing at TGA, I guess anything could happen. I really don't expect to see anything more on Zelda till E3, though. As some have speculated, maybe a tease or mention but no new footage.

The Lobby, Gamespot's Live show are talking about Zelda U tomorrow on the show. Oddly specific, and with the timing..

Tomorrow on The Lobby we talk Zelda Wii U, the best & worst Resident Evil plus the games available on PlayStation Now

I'm not saying anything will happen, and nor should there be any expectations, but the timing could be more than a coincidence.

I got trapped inside an intrinsic field test chamber today. Now that I've pieced myself back together after being disintegrated, I have future sight and bring good news of a new F-Zero on WiiU.

It will come with a special controller add-on -- a Wii Wheel-like shell that houses a Wii Remote Plus. It's rectangular in shape. It has panels on the back of the left side and right side that act as triggers for cornering left and right. Since your fingers are back there when holding the controller, it's intuitive to "clamp down" on those panels to drift in that direction. Beyond that you're steering with motion control, but there is support for classic controls on the GamePad, Pro Controller, and even the GCN adapter.

Now then, I think I'll return to my glass sanctuary on Mars. *teleports*

I trust this naked glowing blue man's words.

Hmm.. Dual gamepad

Miyamoto said at last E3 it was possible, but he didn't think it was the time for it. There are some reasons why it might be it though.

- Afaik, the stock of original gamepads that were produced at launch is now gone, so it's possible they slightly redesigned it and made it work (easier) with two gamepads.
- It's a way to make money of the existing owners
- some games like mario kart could be patched to display a map on the TV, and give each player his own view on the gamepad in coop. Splatoon could also support it potentially, star fox, maybe some other games can be patched for it.

It would still be an out of the blue announcement though. Extended range and battery life could make it a seller for the more core gamers though.

Batteries the CRISIS!
A second Gamepad probably is needed for StarFox Wii U local multiplayer. Not sure it's worth whatever Nintendo will charge for the thing, though.

Yeah, that'd be wonderful.

It won't be extra Gamepad support. Wii U hardware hasn't changed. Furthermore there would be practically no demand for such a feature. Most people don't even want one Gamepad, the number of people who would rush out to buy another seems exceedingly low. What purpose would it even serve? No game is built around the idea, and to make new software which relies on a second gamepad would be financially ludicrous.

Yeah I'm going to go with this too. The only time I thought having a second gamepad would be useful is when I was mentally counting out controllers for 8 player smash and asking people what to bring. I'm sure some games that use two could be cool but the cost of entry would be very high.

What about a new gamepad with two screens?

And if it is just 2nd gamepad support, I imagine it would need some hardware add-on via usb, that is what I'm getting through the hints.

Man a second gamepad would be dumb, they can't get people to like one, they'll try to sell a second without any current game that supports it and shoehorning in the next releases?

Dual gamepad support seems like such a waste of Nintendo's time and resources. I don't know anyone personally who uses the gamepad at all unless it can't be avoided (e.g., Captain Toad).

Dual Gamepads would be awesome because it means we're finally getting Gamepads sold separately at stores.

Use your brains people, it's the N3DS which adds a second stick. Not dual gamepads which make absolutely no sense. Nobody would buy them. People barely want to use the one they get with the system.

Don't be silly. Seriously.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone know a decent liveblog that works well enough on mobile (Android Chrome)? I'd like to be able to follow during breaks.

Yeah, Nintendo aren't easy to predict, with their reveals. I'm not gonna get my hopes up though, I seriously doubt we'll see anything major again, until E3.

Yeah, dual gamepads sounds dumb. I don't know how they're going to sell that but I at least have no interest in another gamepad. I can see the use of it, sure, you could do Nintendo Land 2 and have some really cool mini-games, but it's just not worth the extra money.

Then again we don't know for sure if it's dual gamepads or if that dude is even legit.

I don't think there are. Twitter might be a good app to use through following @NeogafNewThreads or other gaming journalist websites. Tech websites usually cover the tech events with liveblogs, but for gaming events it's rare.

I want a revised Wii U OS that allows me to completely abandon the Wiipad in every app, including Netflix (and update the damn Netflix app, it's fucking unusable).

Also, please Nintendo, give your older fans some bacon. Some more core games. Zombi 2, Metroid, Eternal Darkness, a full Pilotwings/Wave Race experience. Whatever. Just throw us a bone everyone now and then.

Nintendo reveals their next console, featuring dual gamepads, alongside their new handheld, The Nintendo TS (triple screen).

Guys guys guys

I wouldn't go in expecting anything other than a recap of Spring titles and the New 3DS announcement

Do we have any reason to believe it will be anything beyond that?
