Okay guys, it is time for messages quoting me to destroy the integrity of this discussion.

Guess one game from the flashes that will be announced at 1:00 AM EST.

If you edit, you will be disqualified. If you pick two games, you will be disqualified. If you previously won, you are disqualified.

If there are two correct guessers, the person who guessed first is the winner.

The winner gets any game on Steam, not to exceed $20. If you want some game that's slightly north of that (like the deal for Wolfenstein today), we'll talk. Just don't push it. If you want more than one game, that's fine. The total budget is still $20.

Please have a game in mind at 1:00 AM EST. Please make yourself available to receive your prize.

According to some Russian traders, the 4-packs, 2-packs are not region locked. Is this true?

The reason I am asking is that I was looking for Minimum and see there are 4 copies for 2 keys

Yeah, 'tis true. I don't think it's intentional.

Whats the appeal of divinity original sin? i played 30 minutes and im just not feeling it.

Quirky humor, great customization, satisfying and diverse combat, good (and epic) story, visually beautiful and great soundtrack.

Honestly, the only thing I didn't like about Divinity Original Sin was the crafting. It was still fun and I did create a bunch of not-so-useless items, but I wish it was better implemented.

Shadowrun (and Dragonfall, which has a much better interface and story and is overall much more polished), kinda?
Dead state, maybe? (didn't play this one myself)
Jagged Alliance?
Xenonauts? (which is basically indie xcom)

yw ;)

I own Shadowrun Returns... but it looks like Jagged Alliance Back in Action has some unofficial mods that might make it perfect for me. Gonna check that out, thanks.

I assume you can apply mods to steam games without steam 'correcting' them? I tried googling around but the first million links seem to be specific to skyrim, lol. Wait, I remember people talking about nude mods so mods must be easy... I assume just follow the normal mod install directions?

Is Xenonauts 'more xcom' or it's own thing. I've played both old school and new school xcom a lot... I've avoided the copycats but maybe I shouldn't?

IDK where you got 500 games greenlit, but there were greenlit quite a lot games in a week I was too busy to post updates, 255 games were greenlit and even Eternal Forest is finally greenlit!
I won't be making list this time, though. But basically most good games are greenlit and interesting new additions are few and far between. I'll post some selected few after holidays are over.

edited: talking about Critter Crunch. It is as amazing as everybody says, only somehow nobody ever mentions how unfair many challenges are (in challenge mode), you outright are done before even starting if your initial layout isn't good for this particular challenge. I'm not a fan of such approach, tbh.
Adventure and puzzle modes are great, though.

It is reportedly [I haven't played it] an homage to the original X-Com and is more similar to that than the recent XCOM reboot.

I see Transistor has full controller support. Does it mean, it's better to play with a controller?

Bastion was better with controller, why wouldn't Transistor be better with a controller?

because I like my mouse and kb controls? Lately most games I play are controller oriented, though. Nobody thinks about me...

But but but... it's better with controller...
:(

I thinked I used mouse and keyboard controls for bastion for about an hour before I gave up and started using my controller. I haven't played Transistor yet, so I'm not sure how different it is.

Does anyone know if the Steam version of Far Cry 4 got the patch 1.6 hotfix? Apparently there was a bug in the patch that broke save games if some condition was met. Friend told me the uplay version was hotfixed but I can't find any info for the Steam version.

Also it's high time Valve started forcing devs to release patch notes with any update.

Not necessarily. Bastion had a few options with MKB, and with the right tweak, it felt realllly tight. I actually played a bit with MKB to get through some really tough spots, it made the combat feel even better at times.

I haven't played it in a long while, so I can't tell you what I changed. I do remember being able to finally pull off a few challenges I couldn't do before. I know the rocket and the cannon ones were way easier w/ the mouse.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I have an account with Dark Souls 2, which a friend is playing through using Family Sharing. If he gets soft banned, will the server restrictions apply only to his account or will they also apply to mine? I know that Bamco suspended the Vac Bans, and that according to the Family Sharing TOS, my account would get VAC banned, which implies that if he got soft banned, I would also too. I don't think he will actually cheat though, it's just to ease my mind...

The reason I am asking is that I was looking for Minimum and see there are 4 copies for 2 keys

the games that come from a open pack arent region locked , for example in that case minimun has a 5-pack so that is region locked until is opened , the other 4 copies generated from that pack are not region locked
