Is there anyone around SL70 who'd like to be my decoy for fighting Manus and Kalameet? ;)

Sorry, I don't have the game installed anymore :(
But they are easy, the bonfire is really close and their attack patterns are pretty obvious. You can beat them alone (I did it and I'm not that good).
For Manus, just wait when you can safely attack his hand. Don't be greedy, and wait. And you can summon Sif if you are human. (even if he is useless)

Damn, getting Daisy's par times in Marvellous Miss Take is bloody hard since she has no distraction gadgets.
Also, I'm at like 14 hours of game play, which is not bad, not bad at all.
I already love the game to bits, but if you want bang for your buck and are on the fence about it, just... get it.

Also, the BTA stuff in the lowest tier is groupees-wide at the moment, not that the community bundle is all that interesting.

Unhack has also been greenlit

I had Manus below 10% on a good run -- but it doesn't help that he's super aggressive and 1 hit from him almost kills him. Add in some bullshit hitboxes and we're talking a major annoyance.

Kalameet? I only tried him once... I want to hack off his tail too, so that's not a good thing either. I do have the Oolicile Township bonfire kindled to give 20 estus, so that's great if I can survive a hit and find an opening to heal.

Nice, just realized that buying the Temple of Osiris + South Park pack from Uplay gave me the Lara Croft pre-order items for TF2. They have to be worth something I guess.

Hey, if anybody has uplay copies of Black Flag, I have many codes for:

DLC 4 - Death Vessel Pack

Send a pm, and I'll send you a code, as long as I have enough.

Need to ask two stupid Steam questions (I did just go through the FAQ recently posted first, lol):

1) Why is it that when I start up a game, the little notification says 'hit Shift-tab to close' but when I hit Shift-tab, it pulls up a large steam menu interface over my game (and closes the notification)? Is there anyway to just boot into the game w/o any of that?

2) I see a lot of sites (like steamdb) can access your wishlist. Are there any sites out there that will take your wishlist and do anything fancy with it (ie, show steamdb like details, or multi-site price compares, etc)?

You're all very welcome.
"Hm, this is too new, it won't be bundled soon, so I'll get it with gems"
Same here, goodbye 2.5k gems :-(
I didn't really consider bundles though, rather the fact that it was region locked and almost nothing else in the auction was, so I wasn't going to be able to get it from a Russian trader.

If you ignore it, it goes away after like 2 seconds

How good is the build a greenlight bundles? I'm assuming you get a lot of garbage with a few good games thrown in.

As far as quality goes I personally think the greenlight bundles are some of the best ones Groupees does. But you can be waiting a long time for the games to be greenlit and released on Steam.

SteamGAF a quick question

re the recent changes in region locking/gifting policies: if someone is in a region not officially supported by steam, but he somehow sends someone in US the money so that he would receive the items he would have wanted to buy in return (as gifts)... would it work or not?

Question for any UK guys here, have you ever bought anything from these guys and were they reliable? Thinking of buying a Modmic from them since Overclockers is out of stock on them and so far they're the only place I've seen selling them.

One of them does, but not the key notification for Dungeon of the Endless. It stays there, and actually covers up the 'start' button once you select your team. It does not go away until I hit shift-tab, at which point that pulls up the other interface. It's annoying as hell, because I only have the time to play in short bursts, so deal with it regularly.

I have already told Steam to stop giving me the popup (center screen) about the key. This is in the lower right.

Basically, I get two notifications - one is telling me that shift-tab 'begins' steam community. The other tells me to hit shift-tab to close the key notification. Hitting shift-tab does both - closes the key notification, but starts the community hub thing.

The link that calculates how long it would take to beat all the games in your Steam library just takes me to a 404.

Yeah, I had a Ubiquity function that would shortcut to the HL2B page for a game using that URL, and it stopped working a while back. Wish HL2B had a way to search without having to go to the website first and then type in the name each time. :/ 1 step is better than 2! :lol

Oh. Well, it only shows those for games with their own cd keys for GFWL/Origin/Uplay/whatever.
The "don't show" is per game, but it *should* disappear after you click it. It does here, anyway.
Then I can just shift-tab back out of community.

Afterlife: Lost Paradise also got greenlit.
As did Effing dead.

Hi guys, I have a question about big picture mode.

I have a PC that is normally hooked up to two monitors (using a gtx770).

From time to time I like to connect to the TV sitting next to my desk and run big picture mode on it.

Is there a way to have big picture mode running on the tv while it is a secondary monitor - and play games on the tv while it is a secondary monitor.

I seem to be able to only play games on the TV when it is set as primary monitor.

if this could get an answer, that would be great

Lost Planet 3 has 30 FPS pre-rendered cutscenes, but regular cutscenes with NPCs are regular 60 FPS.
Got it running at highest settings and it runs smoothly at 60 FPS, wish more modern games were like this...then again weren't majority ps360 era games SUB-HD?

They gave you a dotted line?
That's so sweet.

Speaking of UBisoft:

Uplay has South Park 66% off, Darksiders Complete 85% off, Thief 75% off.
I love how South Park's thumbnail is in fucking German for me.

Do the Groupees bundles tend to have games of value in them? Is it worth me to give that Greenlight one a shot or will I end up with a choice of games I don't want at all?

They're better than Indie Royale Debut bundles in my experience. And like $0.15 per game anyway.

e: Not that you can expect anything super amazing to need help to get greenlit. Usually there's a couple of decent looking games per bundle though and they can pay themselves back with cards quite easily.

I pretty much stopped witht the Greenlight bundles. Still waiting for games from like 2-3 greenlight bundles ago to be greenlit. Valve stopped letting a batch through each month right? Now it's more of a trickle?

Don't play more than 2-3 RPGs this year, and for the love of god, stay away from MMOs.
Adventure games/TWINE games/older console platformers are your best friends.
If you want to cheat, just treat every Telltale episode as a separate game.
Make a 'Massive Timesink' category in your Steam collection and stay the hell away from those games.

No shit, I played Fire Emblem: Awakening for 145 hours this year, I had to play a huge number of indies and gameboy stuff to make up for that and meet the 52 games quota.

The Steam equivalent of the drunk friend who keeps offering to pay your tab all night.

Except you didn't "have to" do anything

www.isthereanydeal.com it can notify you when a game on your wishlist hits a certain price.
