I saw one of my friends bought this game called mount your friends recently. I had no idea what this was so I clicked the link to the store page.

This is the most absurd looking dick flopping game I have ever seen. And I've seen a lot of those!

I haven't

It's not that you goofed, it's a quirk of how ModBot works.

When someone wins, ModBot uses GAF's search engines to find the posts it needs to edit. It edits them all out. Unfortunately, GAF's search engine only adds posts every 15 minutes, so if the post hasn't been added to the search engine yet, ModBot can't find it. If this happens, ModBot checks the last 5-10 pages of the most recent Steam thread to try to find the post. This isn't the most recent Steam thread. Hence why it couldn't find the post.

If other people try to enter and ModBot notices "Hey, why the heck are people trying to enter for something that's already claimed?", it will initiate another search->edit cycle. Eventually when the post is added to the search database this cycle will work and the edit will go through.

I had never really planned for a split-thread approach to ModBot. I'll try to come up with something better for the next major sale, I guess.

If there's ever any trouble with ModBot, a small handful of posters here have access to be able to check ModBot's main debug log so even if I'm not around, people can follow up to see what happened and make sure everything went as planned.

So now that I am like almost 100% back in to PC gaming how does a brother get in the Neogaf steam community/group?

I'm tempted by lords of the fallen. 20 bucks already and I would still have 16 bucks in my wallet.....but It could go even cheaper considering how fast it has dropped already.
