Is it just me or have there been more lag free matches in 4p for fun lately?

Don't hate on yellow devil lol. The matches would be better if people played by the rules (team up on bosses) or on warioware stage.

Yeah, I can in like 5-10 minutes. Only for an hour or so though since it's 3am already lol.

I'll be waiting.

I just had my "get good" moment and think I found my main. Doing random smash matches. I get Shulk and after the match I unlock Ganondorf. Had an amazingly close match that really got my blood pumping before eventually losing. I choose Shulk again, do another match, and fight Ganon again. I get my ass kicked this time. I realize I suck up close and need to pick someone fast with decent spacing. I chose Greninja. Do another match, and fight Ganondorf again. I use his B attack to keep my distance when I can and attacking quick when he gets close and run away. I kicked his ass this time. I feel like I'm ready now for some online matches.

Play 1vs1 with both players as Rosalina. One in default blue and the other in sea green. Go to Prism Tower Omega Form.

For the love of godess, someone please assure me I'm not going color blind! I couldn't tell who's who.

Trying to beat Master Core at Level 9 with ZSS is harder than I expected it to be. :( Oh well...
My GSP dropped from like 1,600,000 to almost half that. Whoops.

How long is the Master Core fight? I tried it with Link but I accidently lost a stock on Crazy and Master hand...So i was down on one stock and kept fighting for what felt like hours until I got destroyed...

I'm pretty sure these glitches will be patched out once the next update hits the eShop.
If they do a patch then teleporting Yoshi will definitely be fixed.

The rest would be pretty low priority though. And either way, there's no reason not to have fun with this fun stuff while it's still here since there's no frame-perfect shenanigans involved or anything hard to learn like that. :P

I love Magicant but hate that ridiculously overpowered fuckstick that joins in. I'm glad 'bosses' aren't in too many stages because each one is ruined by them.
I feel like Sakurai is getting increasingly out of touch with what makes a good stage hazard starting with Brawl. There are an increasing number of amazing stages screwed up by "that one stupid thing." You're STILL punished for playing the Warioware mini games correctly, for example (opponent gets star power, you get turned to giant and made more vulnerable.)

It's not absurdly long depending on how quickly you manage to deal enough damage, but there's one extra form you have to deal with at any difficulty over 8.0. So there's the
big cyclops thing with two hands, the scorpion beast, the swords, and then your shadow doppelgänger
. It can get annoying, though.

playing little mac "correctly" online for glory is great because you can tell that the other player is probably getting super frustrated with you

Haha, agreed. I often times find them countering by choosing Mac themselves the next match.

Also cosmic, I went ahead and made a room. Jump in whenever.

The humanoid form
is annoying because of that weird gust-wind type attack its frustrating to lose the first stock with zero damage because of it.

I thought for sure Warioware was going to get tweaked. I love the concept but like you said, it just gets ruined by that randomness.

Hi Gaf,

Just played For Glory for an hour and won 3 out of 15 matches.... Anyone got any tips? Or anyone want to practice around 6PM PST. I'm in California if that matters.

Oh, so you're one of those people -_-

Thinking about it, I think I may have potential to be good with him, considering I have the horrible habit to be always glued to the ground, mainly because I suck at using aerials properly, my timing is just OFF

Of course you can tell, because half the time they swap to Little Mac. Then they get their ass whooped, see you counter, try it once and get lucky with it, then spam it the until you grab them too much.
That might seem ultra specific, but it happens surprisingly often.

What do you mean there's a way of playing Little Mac that doesn't involve side-Bing off the ledge and falling for very obvious shield grab attempts?

Decided to test my skills against the AI. Level 9 CPU, 3 stock, no items, Final Destination. Put AI on random and got Marth. First stock, I get my ass kicked. I keep trying to dash in but get countered every time. I die with him at only 39%. Second stock, I'm still not doing great but I'm adjusting. When I finally get him off the edge, I realize how easy it is to edge guard against him. He loses his first stock with me at 80% on my second. I get in a good amount of damage on his second stock before dying with him at 72%. 3rd stock, I finally get the timing down on hitting him after his B attack before he can react. He loses his second stock with me at 40%. On his 3rd stock, I have the timing on all of his attacks down. I end up finishing him off with me at 78%. I feel like a badass. Can't wait for that feeling to go away when I try online.

Sorry for all the rambling.

My whole hand and wrist feel weird after playing a while. I don't think 3DS has the ergonomics for this.

What does adding a track to favorite do in the sound test?

Edit: All Iwadare's remixes remind me of what could've been from Grandia IV.

I'm starting to sour on Omega forms. In Brawl and Melee I'd only see FD as much as any other stage, maybe less. Now that Omega Forms have given an illusion of variety to the same stage, it's all I see when I'm playing with friends. I realize that the game doesn't have the best stage roster, but Battlefield, Yoshi's, and handful of other stages still exist.
FDs are my favorite, but yeah I also looked into a bit more fariety playing LV9 1VS1 CPUs while wait for speedy internet. I don't really care if its walk offs, a couple minor stage hazards or anything, so I think Green Greens, the KI stage, Tomadachi Life, Living Room, Arena Ferox, DK, Yoshi's Island, Spirit Tracks, and Paper Mario are all viable stages, atleast to me. No really annoying stage hazards but thats just me. I know others don't like minor hazards like Nintendog Blocks or the whole enter the bottom and auto die on DK or ST stages but I feel like their fine when playing on CPU. Even Pictochat 2 is kinda ok to me lol.

I sometimes have the same issue getting the final kill if the opponent is good with perfect shielding.
It's really hard to tell you how to improve other than try to avoid using your kill moves until they're high enough to knock off.

The move decay can be a pain and allow them to live longer to knock you out first. It's very situational with no right answer.

The true struggle of Yoshi mains D:

But thank you. I'll try to establish more kill combos. Dash attack seems to be the best option to get them off stage at high percentage since it almost always gets priority, which is amazing. From there an egg lay into uair is probably the best option. Well either that or Yoshi's meteor to send them flying down, but idk if that's been nerfed or not.
