So for that get 10 Smash Run powers thing on the first challenge board.... what does that mean exactly? I've played Smash Run like four or five times now and I'm already kinda sick of it but I still haven't unlocked that one.
 
Does anyone know what's up with the random reticle that shoots at you in Smash Run? Been happening for about half of this current match and there's no explanation for it.
 
Eh, not sure what happened there. Good games though Sol. Two things Ganondorf definitely has over Wii Fit Trainer: kill power and range. So many close matches. lol

GGs. I really thought that recovery move had no hurtbox until I finally managed to hit it with a bair lol.
 
Is the only advantage of filling out the pictures with the names during the credits just the 100 coins? I've been doing it but I'm tired of it lol

It was my first time playing with gaffer (and mainly 1 vs 1 without items and tournament stage) so it apparently that I have to learn more about Duck Hunt Dog and some old characters that have changed.

I'm looking forward for our rematches once I get better with the game and with 3DS control. I think 3DS control is really bane of my life. :P
 
The netcode really does seem to be on a person-by-person basis. I had HORRIBLE 1v1 matches against a buddy not too far away a couple days out of Japanese launch, but have been having some flawless 4P FFA online matches with people even farther. I mean, obviously it sucks that there are so many bad matches, but it's nice knowing that there's at least the possibility of good ones too.

Yeah that's the... uh... I dunno the name of Kid Icarus enemies, but the magic using variant of one of the basic mooks.

Zero Suit Samus actually feels potentially viable, which is a shock. All the kick-focused gameplay suits her.

ZSS was already viable in Brawl so it's not too shocking, that said the buffs she's gained from being individualized are so good. She's probably my main so far, her moves are so satisfying.

No problem, GG Heath! I think you have decent zoning with DHD, but the killer instinct is still lacking.

Otherwise, really good connection, good fights, and yes Ganondorf sucks, I learnt it the hard way earlier as well. Looking forward for more!
 
Just an interesting thing. The only characters that were top 10 in Brawl that aren't noticeably nerfed so far (or cut rip ICs and snake :( ) are ZSS and Wario. ZSS got BUFFED, Wario seems the same to me though.
 
So, any Robin mains here wanna give advice on handling Little Mac? I just can't figure out how to approach the guy and he does a really good job of making me nervous as hell.
 
Was playing a 4P glory game and this Ike was getting the best of me. I admittedly got kinda salty, didn't help that his name was "Hitler" either...

Well I'm a little Mac main, and I had trouble with Robins arch fire, and the grabs, thoron helps with the distance and use them tilts, sword has some range, try to juggle in the air and make sure to kill when he's off the stage. It's like I'm telling you how to beat me xD not happening tho ;)
 
I really wish for fun recorded our wins and losses; I have no freakin' idea why Sakurai seems to think that on-screen stats aren't "fun" (Hell, even for glory hides our scores in a separate menu...but, hey, at least they're actually there. I really hoped they'd give us an online scoring system that was similar to Karts.)
I'm also kind of surprised that he doesn't really seem to understand the concepts of reward and punishment. Brawl's online mode was basically the perfect example of what happens when there are no consequences for winning or losing.
SSBB players generally had nothing to fight for and nobody to hold them accountable for their actions, so it became quite easy to just dick around (Repeatedly taunting, repeatedly jumping, repeatedly ducking, etc.) until the match was over.
It's irratating to think that Sakurai (or any other Nintendo dev who worked on this game) didn't take note of/care about this.

Wario's a bit buffed but it feels subtle (attack speed and damage on several attacks). The only thing that seems worse about him is the lack of bike projectiles and the invincibility frames on the forward smash, but the latter is less punishable and has a really good range now.

Also despite Diddy Kong's bananas basically getting super nerfed he's mostly just got buffs all around for his other attacks. That said the bananas really were that integral and I wonder how a new Diddy without bananas can fare competitively.

EDIT: Oh huh didn't realize Wario's lack of landing lag got removed.
