Holy jebus, Duck Hunt Clay Pigeon is REALLY good.

Like much better than I thought.

Didn't think it would "stop" when hitting someone, allowing you to get all gunshots.

Damn DK has some incredible moves on the ClashTournament stream. Rounds wrapping up really quickly. Almost feels like people are sleeping on him.

Controls on this game are so frustrating on a 3ds...especially on an O.G one. I feel like I can't move as quickly as I want and it gets hard to see in free for alls with items. I'll be sooo thankful once the Wii U version releases. I feel like Smash doesn't belong on a handheld after trying to play this as intensely as I would with a controller..but maybe that's just me.

Well, I guess we'll get a different fourth. If you want in a 2v2 with myself, Papercuts, and Azuran, lemme know.

Edit: Room is up, hopefully it's lag free.

I love that you can actually combo in this game. I think they struck a good balance between melee and brawl (from what I can tell so far.)

Smash is running in a larger memory space than any other 3DS game (AFAIK).
Talking of combos; what's an easy way to get a 40 combo in training?

Sorry, I got disconnected. I will be back.

He seems pretty bad to me. Didn't get any buffs, received nerfs (no autocancelable Nair in a shorthop, can't autocancel Dair in a short hop). What he has doesn't make up for how slow he is on the ground -- Bowser does everything better than him. :/

Probably will end up the same way as Brawl competitively. He has nothing going for him.

Yeah, that's what I suspected. Oh well. I have new mains to fall back to.

- Smash Run is a LOT OF FUN! Many people say the final battle is anticlimactic, but I see Smash Run as more about the journey rather than the destination. It's an addictive way to grind for loot like coins, trophies and custom parts. And I love seeing all of these enemies, from all of these different series, together in one place like this. The maze itself is gorgeous, and the events and random enemy layouts keep it all fresh. And I think it's neat how the stat boosts can tip the scales in that final confrontation, but they by no means make it free.

I agree with you. I have so much fun with smash run

Why would they do this to us :^/

It's really weird how they changed DDD's move set. He also lost his good Dtilt kick and instead does some kind of roll on the ground. He still seems pretty decent to me from what I watched of Vex a week ago or so but yeah it's really weird why they changed him so much and then left someone like Ganondorf basically the same terrible character.

imo you can't complain about dedede's moveset changes when considering his new d-tilt

that is so beautiful

Nahh, I think people know DK is good (at least right now). I know he is because all of his bad MUs in Brawl got hit with the nerfbat really hard (MK, Falco as two examples) and he's basically kept everything that was good about him in Brawl (SH double Bair, hitboxes better match his limbs, good damage and knockback on most moves, etc). The only things that changed are dash attack, aerial Down B, and Dthrow. Most of which are beneficial to DK (Dthrow's a little weird though).

That doesn't mean there aren't new matchups, you know :P

I meant more in terms of functionality while he's talking about aesthetics and animation. :P

Oh, of course, I just meant his *really* bad ones got hit hard. He still has to fear Palutena, Robin, and any other really strong projectile character or fast character like ZSS. But at least FALCO, his worst MU since Melee, finally won't be around as a like 70:30 MU for him or whatever the ratio was in both games lol.

For those of you praising Palutena (well she is a goddess), what do you use to get the kill? I find I can get the opponent damaged, but actually setting up a KO in a way that isn't hilariously telegraphed becomes difficult. I mean, her smashes are pretty good, but it's almost like when they come out, the opponent is already gone from the hitbox area.

All I can do with her is be evasive and a pain in the divine butt to catch, but while not getting hit is a good thing, it's not that great if I don't get any opportunities out of it. Then I'm just stalling, giving the momentum away.

Is Ganondorf really bad in this game?
Didn't feel like it to me, but his air mobility is so shit and in this game that's always been a big deal. However, the fury plus his new combo potential is making up for it with me. I LOVE how he can combo into his normals so easily now. He can go from being down 80% to 0 on someone to combo-ing in off a run up now to put them dead even. Too bad he has no way to chase off the stage. I keep hoping to find a way to edge cancel into stuff to remove startup on him. So help me if there was anyway to speed up his damned ax kick I'd be all over it...the thing can break a full shield and there is no way to use it.

All I can say is don't get pushed off the stage because unless you can get someone stupid enough to chase you off the edge that you can grab and staircase off of or Chokendorf (flamechoke) to KO in a kamikaze move you won't get back on.

If anyone finds a tactic or method that allows Ganondorf to cancel recovery or startup on anything I'd like to hear it. He's faster, but the whole cast is faster so his only perk is his combo potential and knockback game are more dangerous.

What surprised me is that Yoshi now feels pretty beast.

I'm still not used to just how little vertical distance Luigi's up-B has in this game. I've died so many times at low percents in For Glory overestimating how far down I can drop.

It's especially weird that in a game where nearly everyone's recovery is vastly improved, they nerfed the distance on a move that never got a huge amount of distance to begin with.

Playing with Duck Hunt is definitely a challenge. Looking forward to learning how to use this character!

BUT IT'S SO HARDCORE WHEN HE ROLLS INTO THE CROUCH MAN

yeah okay it's not as good functionally but man do I love that move

Bah Im having the stupidest time dealing with this lucarion. he jsut keeps coming back with his up special b and I dont know how to punish it. Also can't get back on the platform myself because he keeps me at bay with is projcetile :/.
