Is it better to beat All-Star before unlocking all the characters to face less of them and unlock the alt trophies? When you get all the characters do the rewards change somehow?

I unlocked 4 characters before starting All-Star and now I'm afraid to play classic again and unlock characters as that will increase the difficulty of All-star.

Done a lot of online battling with friends and others. Focusing on completing the second page of challenges.
StreetSmash will be getting the Golden Hammer.

Keep in mind you can still do the streetpass challenges that don't have to do with getting tags in practice mode. The 5 tags one requires actual passes though.

For fun is surprising not that laggy...and fun.

N's Castle has ruined another All Stars run thanks to its lovely stage hazards. I hate that stage, it feels like I'm fighting the stage more than the opponents.

I really wish the game has a keep camera on player button

So what does it mean when playing online someone has a square reticule around them through the whole match?

You clicked on his symbol in the lower screen.
You can mark people that way, and it is easier to spot them.
I hectic 4 player battles I mark myself

YUP. Jigglypuff flying off stage. "Oh boy I'm gonna unlock her now!" *explosion* *die*

Really? The hazards on that stage never give me any trouble. If anything, they make the stage more fun, especially when Zekrom tips the stage with Fusion Bolt.

It's definitely not as crazy as Spear Pillar.

Man, playing Palutena on the circle pad is absolutely miserable. She's not that good to begin with (I think, anyway), but accidentally getting any of her tilts during neutral means that you're going to eat a lot of damage because they're active for an incredibly long time.

I think Palutena is much better than you make her out to be, but you're right that if you fudge one of her tilts you'll be punished with the excruciatingly long animation (dat staff whirls sloooooow). :-)

Yeah, Spear Pillar was worse. Maybe it was me being salty about losing there twice but right now it's my least favourite stage.

Don't be. I lose more battles than I win (I have a tendency to... self-destruct), but it's a lot of fun.

But be forewarned, everyone is using Little Mac, lol.

Now is the time to do it, the game just came out. Lots of newbies in there right now

I won my first match!
Shulk vs Samus. Was a pretty even match up.
I await the little mac. He just wrecks everything in the right hands.

Damn, almost 3 in a row. :(

Was anyone else in Lazy's room getting extreme lag there? It's making things interesting to say the least, lol.

Do we know for certain that there is actual matchmaking at play in FG?

Feels like it's just matching me against anybody that is online regardless of skill.

Is anyone else having the sound bug out on them a lot? Sometimes music won't play, victory music will be absent and now the SFX just died mid match.

Dang, a MASSIVE line in front of the Gamestop near me in San Jose this morning. I assume it's for the tournament? Cool to see some real life excitement for this.

'Excitement' is not the word I used at the [Anaheim] Gamestop I went (please forgive my rant/bitching).
The official rules said lineup starts at 9am. I was there at 8 and the line went around the back since some of those people camped out hours before.

Worst part was that the Gamestop and Nintendo reps there let that happen instead of calling security or holding raffle tickets (they did the latter, but it was for 3 or 4 remaining spots). Bad enough I couldn't enter due to the 'first-come first-serve rule, but to be screwed over like this was beyond stupid.

There was no organization and it was a freakin' waste of my [and many, many others'] time.

*sigh* I lost the mood to play right now. I'll come back later.

NOTE: I have a brother near Baltimore who had the same problem but was able to enter. He won and will be taking part in the Nationals next week.

I've been able to beat Little Mac with Ness handily. Everyone else just fucking melts.

Anybody that has a quick projectile (Mario, Luigi, Ness...) will leave the Mac player quite dumbfounded in my short experience against Mac in FG.

Not saying he can't deal with those, but people picking Mac because he's FotM will not, on average, be able to.
