...whose Peach avatar is the right one?!
DLC.
Agreed. I don't understand the logic behind it other than "production" for the bigger countries and such but even *that* is a stretch. Nintendo could have done a worldwide release on Sept. 13th.
And the sad thing is, it's going to happen again with the Wii U version as Sakurai has already gone out and said in one of the PotDs that the Wii U version will be dropping first in Japan just like the 3DS version. :/
BUT I, at least, understand that because Nintendo wants to capitalize on Black Friday. The 3DS version gap was completely illogical, though.
Glad to know we're all on the same page.Flat is love flat is life
DLC stickers. And Paper Mario will be our Sticker Star.
As long as Meta Knight is a Spaniard, I'm happy.
My only theory is they wanted to avoid Destiny's launch window.I feel like it is clear that the Japanese release date got pushed up, but what I don't understand is why the worldwide release date didn't get pushed up as well about a week or 2.
Japan has a pretty stacked line up of games (Smash 3DS, MH4U, ORAS, FFExplorers) and has the n3DS revision. So it makes sense to spread it out as much as possible.
Meanwhile, NA didn't get anything for September for the 3DS. Europe and Australia got Fantasy Life just this past week, so it is only one week before Smash 3DS. NA is getting Fantasy Life on Oct 24th.
I doubt they didn't have the capability of producing a lot of carts. 3 weeks is a lot for Smash.
The gap between Japanese and US release was so fucking stupid.

why would you inflict such a terrible voice on him
leave meta knight alone
Yeah, I'm having a hard time understanding the logic behind it. The ONLY thing that comes to mind is maybe they wanted to space out the release in Japan from Monster Hunter 4U... but that obviously has no impact on the rest of the world whatsoever. It's probably some dumb ass marketing statistic. "Our studies show that games released in October sell 42% more than they do in September!"
So yeah, kinda fucked. If they do it again with Wii U I'm going to snap. I can handle a week, but close to a month? Fuck that.

It shouldn't be too far ahead.October 5th.

so supposedly roy koopa has, in fact, inherited the coveted "roy's our boy" chant, though i await video confirmation of such a claim

This is my first Smash game that I'll really get into. I played Melee briefly but never owned a Gamecube and I totally skipped on Brawl. I've been playing the demo quite a bit and really liking it.
My question is, how "hard" is this game to get decent at? I don't have any plans of bring pro or any of that nonsense but I'd like to be able to hold my own in multiplayer. Will there be any kind of matchmaking based on rank or will I just be getting my butt kicked by people who've played Smash forever?
I like this ideaI personally think that since Japan doesn't care for consoles as much as the rest of the world does, we should get the Wii U version first!
Like that'll happen :/
Practice on Classic mode on Normal difficulty and up. OR beat lvl.9 CPUs. If you can hold your own against them, you shouldn't have problems against anonymous foes online. Not everybody is pro, so it's not hard to get into it.
I also think putting Smash right next to Hyrule Warriors is a really dumb move.I feel like it is clear that the Japanese release date got pushed up, but what I don't understand is why the worldwide release date didn't get pushed up as well about a week or 2.

Would we have a thread during those days or would it be easier to have an available chatroom?
Japanese release confirmed for 11/1.

Putting ORAS and Smash Wii U would also be considered dumb then. And so would SM3DW and ALBW AND Mario Party Island Tour.I also think putting Smash right next to Hyrule Warriors is a really dumb move.
I'm confused.... is this real? Link?

Two days, guys. Two days until we're all panicking when the eShop keeps crashing as we try to access the game's page!
Eh, given the small Wii U population, and the small audience that will buy Hyrule Warriors, I don't think it's going to eat into Smash 3DS' sales a noticeable amount
They've done same day Wii U and 3DS releases many times, I don't see why they can't do that here as well.Putting ORAS and Smash Wii U would also be considered dumb then. And so would SM3DW and ALBW AND Mario Party Island Tour.
Maybe I am being stupid but does eShop release titles at midnight?
Oh there's more.I see both of your hands and raise you this.

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see the Wii U game get a December release in Japan, similar to the EU/US-prioritised ALBW launch.
