F this thread... now I have to find where I put my 3DSXL and have her tell me how terrible it is that I haven't played in a year or so...

I returned to my town for the first time in 11 or so months just this weekend and she was pretty cool with it, I feel like New Leaf dialled down on the characters lambasting your absence which is kinda funny since you're the mayor this time around.
Turns out that beautiful town ordinance does its job well, yet that public works project has barely budged.
It's like the town got locked in stasis after being trapped in backup save data for a year.

She also acts like she's sooo busy all the time, when I know she does absolutely nothing. Waaah, I'm so busy all the time.. She's annoying, done up, and her being presented as some kind of idol just bugs me. It also makes absolutely no sense that she is the mayor assistant in not just your town, but all neighboring towns you may ever visit.

Isabelle is a strong independent female character with personality, she's not just an empty shell of a cute character made to appeal to 'creepy' furry lovers.

Would Nintendo have more of a 'sense of class or respectability' if they made Isabelle a male character? Isabelle is lovable because she guides you in New Leaf in an almost motherly way, there is nothing fundamentally 'seductive' about her character.

Having never played Mario Galaxy but having played multiple other games with Rosalina I'd certainly believe you if you told me she was made up for the Sport/kart games a la Waluigi. She still just seems like Grumpy Green Peach

I don't believe you've ever played New Leaf... but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and ask what she did that was annoying.

No need for interest when he's already massively over charging you initially on the loan. He offers infinite time because he knows you'll be back and you'll want more.
