I think it was more of a question as to why any sane rational human being would ever use it in a manner that wasn't derogatory as befitting of a contemptuous slur. Or if it was, why anyone would be willing to refer to oneself as such.
It makes sense from a japanese point of view, see Kantai Collection being KanColle, Girls und Panzer being GaruPan etc.

After getting my ass kicked in the arcades for months, I finally bought Full Boost Premium G used today (in hopes that the product codes would still work, but it seems that it's a no go). I have a couple questions:
1. Which DLC should I buy?
2. It seems my online pass doesn't work. How much will that cost me?
3. When I start playing this next month, will someone teach me how to not suck?

I think the online pass is 10 bucks.
As far as the Premium G tracks go, you can just use your own.
Are there any instructions on the online pass? I press the Ranked/Online Battle button, get a prompt, press yes (I assume) and have to fill in 3 spaces and then press one of the buttons, but then I get a message for something and it doesn't accept. I think that either I am doing something wrong or the online pass code I have is faulty.
I have the Premium G edition and there are 4 codes in the box, I don't know which is which.

I assume you brought it new as otherwise you will have to buy an Online pass from the store. Now make sure it says CERO B on the side as otherwise you have the Asian version and need an HK account to play.
The page with the Gundams at the top that says EXVS.FB and a couple of JP characters should be your Online pass. On the other side is the G Sound Edition code to unlock your music for use.
It should show the EXVS title with the gold colored G under it at the top left. Has Sony Entertainment Network stuff in yellow for 2 rows and the last row of yellow is all JP characters.

When you hover over your user name, you'll see a lot of options but go to the fourth one down. It's where you input codes. Put all of them in and click the blue button below to confirm. Some are like F2P games or custom HUDs or W/E, but one of them is the online key.
After that, I think you should be fine? If not, you may have to set the online key to download. That's the fifth option down from hovering over your user name. Feel free to ask us for any other questions!
Also important: here's some tutorial vids for getting started on the game. They can be creepy as hell but ignore that and focus on the knowledge you're getting. They're solid and practical.

For those of you who can find an extra EX-S code or have yet to pick up the game and are lucky enough to find a First Print copy, EX-S will definitely still be available.
I really don't want to jump on the PS4 bandwagon and pay $$$ just for Maxi Boost. Pls Bandai.
Thanks guys, trying this now. Says "For Japan Only" on the back of the box and my coworkers who got this for me bought it there so I am pretty sure I got the Japanese edition. When I write in the codes I get these:
This is what the one I think is the Online Pass is giving me.
"入力したコード番号が間違っているか、有効ではありません"
The one that I think is the Premium G music part.
"入力内容が間違っているか、無効の可能性があります。 入力内容を確認してください。"
I looked also at the download list and all I Gundam related I got there are free Mobile Suits that I downloaded.

Seems like I gotta buy a online pass, how active is the community in Europe or is it gameplay worthy across continents? Buying a Japanese PSN card is expensive so I just wanna be sure its worth it.
Are you sure you inputted the codes correctly? It says you made a mistake and potentially invalid.

I didn't buy the game, coworkers visiting Japan did, but its most possible this is a used copy. One of the codes did work though, the one that gives a free Mobile Suit, one giant white blue Gundam thing.
