:-OHe makes Jason Momoa looks like Daniel Day Lewis. No thanks.
That's a terrible comparison.

I agree. It's not about the numbers. Avengers proved that a talented writer can make it work.Jesus Christ at putting me in a position to defend this movie but multiple characters appearing in the film is not detrimental to anything. See: just about any episode of Justice League.
It mostly all comes down to the script and context of said appearances.
:-O
That's a terrible comparison.
Lol no. I really don't see that happening. They'll keep the universes separate.
Aquaman's going to steal Justice League. Watch and see if it doesn't happen.
Everyone thought Quicksilver was going to be a giant suckhole, too. And then they watched the movie.
How many times are we gonna go through the same shit? In Man of Steel, Superman is only the first superhero to be known publicly.Unless Snyder/Terrio/Goyer are going to do a major time jump and largely handwave away the events of MoS - which, actually, I would be fine with but am definitely not expecting - I don't see how that has anything to do with BvS or what it's seemingly trying to do.
As far as we know, it's a direct sequel to a film that did nothing to establish superheroes or superpowers as preexisting concepts, and established no in-universe basis for superpowers other than being a Kryptonian. It's not at all comparable to any of the films you mention, in which the existence of superheroes is a long-established part of that universe (Incredibles, Watchmen), or there's a one-size-fits-all explanation for superpowers (X-Men), or the characters are introduced more or less simultaneously and have a shared origin (TMNT).
I agree. It's not about the numbers. Avengers proved that a talented writer can make it work.
But you've just made a false equivalence though. JL didn't need to re-introduce Batman, Lex Luthor etc. This movie has to, with its new batman and new Lex etc.
Justice League show also had amazing talent behind the scenes. These are the people that should have been writing all of these movies in my humble opinion.
Another point is, just because there's a one time oscar winner doing re-writes, doesn't mean it'll be good, or that he can handle these characters, or understand them well enough.
Along with Wayne Enterprises and S.T.A.R. Labs, MoS references Aquaman lore. It's subtle, but there's no mistaking it. Look it up, it's been pointed out in several of these threads already.
How so? He was a badass in this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justice_League:_The_Flashpoint_Paradox
Justice League The Flashpoint Paradox animated movie. He had way more powers than I imagined based on all the ridicule I've heard of his character over the years. He commanded a huge, advanced army with all kinds of cool water tech. He was also super strong physically.
"Fuck character building movies and origin stories guys, we need to catch up to Marvel. Just throw 'em all in next movie so we can get this Justice League shit going already." This is going to be such a clusterfuck that I want to see it just to see how bad it is.
Sigh...I suppose we won't stop getting these reactions till the movie releases.
Yup I mean just look what was posted immediately after your post:It's gonna be a looooong two years, breh. Get comfy.
This movie will be bad, won't it ?

Supposed to be the Man of Steel sequel....
lol
this movie is gonna be so bloated i mean they have 2 hours to fill with what, 5 characters? using some math that's only like 24 minutes on screen for each of them!
Yup I mean just look what was posted immediately after your post:
Can you really blame us ? This movie will be bloated with tons of characters, casting has been so far weird, and Zack Snyder is co-writing.
Everything we've heard so far does not paint the film in a good light.

Momoa Aquaman needs its own movie
If there's any justiceAquaman's going to steal Justice League. Watch and see if it doesn't happen.

I'm sure he will get one. He just first need to have great presence in BvS and JL.
Not really. WB wanted to include Batman because MOS disappointed WB at the BO. WB added more super heroes because they want to generate money. Here´s the WB release list through 2018. MOS2 is coming in 2018 because WB hopes that it could build enough of his followers/fans to be very big and profitable franchise.
May 2016 Batman v Superman
July 2016 Shazam
Xmas 2016 Sandman
May 2017 Justice League
July 2017 Wonder Woman
Xmas 2017 Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 Man Of Steel 2
Again, this is all a rumor from a single source. Why is everyone just assuming it's true? I'd find it a lot more believable if there were a standalone Batman on the agenda, 'cause there's no way WB aren't planning one.
Camera trickery. Robert Downey Jr is short as hell but you'd never really know it.Jason Momoa: 6'4
Ben Affleck: 6'4
Henry Cavill: 6'1
whelp!
Pfft they call him Superman and he isn't even 8 feet tall.Jason Momoa: 6'4
Ben Affleck: 6'4
Henry Cavill: 6'1
whelp!

Heh, I remember people seeing pictures like this before TDKR came out and worrying about Hardy's size as Bane.
Camera angles and shot framing. They work.
Well we wouldn't want Superman 6'4 now would we
While some of the supporting arguments are founded, you guys have to keep in mind that Zack Snyder is directing the movie, and so far, everything he's made has been mediocre at best. The only good things in his movies are the fight scenes, but they are not enough to save them.
I'm sorry, but no, you cannot blame people for having low expectations for his next film. That opinion is founded. If anything, people acting super-excited and positive about the film are the ones who should get a reality-check. Chances are that they are the ones who will be bummed out by the film, as opposed to the others who would be surprised at its quality.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Zack Snyder should stick to being a director of photography and nothing more. His movies are beautiful to watch and their fight scenes exhilarating; but that's it.
People should know this by now, I mean Tom Cruise looks average height in all his movies and they been doing that for decades.
So we went from "Snyder is co writing this" to "Snyder is directing this and I don't like it". Snyder has had 1 universally panned movie and 1 movie with mixed reception.
