I didn't think that the family did any killing, but rather the other depraved things. Was there evidence that anyone other than Errol (and his "acolytes") killed as well?
I don't mean to say it was completely ignored, but it comes as an aside rather than being anything remotely personal or interesting.None of that fell by the wayside. Eg corruption....the news said FBI discredited rumors about the Tuttles involvement. Tuttle is a senator the sprawl.
It's been having problems and crashing all night. Is hbo go slow for anyone? I can't seem to get this episode to start...

Fair, but I think there's a strong argument that television as a whole peaked with episode 4 of this show. And this season definitely peaked at episode 4, before the story went kinda batshit in the last 3rd of the season.
So the ritual Mardi Gras sacrifices are separate from Errol right?
He seems like he's been on his own a bit and it didnt seem like he would have a group of people and a camera to record his murders.
Well they had the tape in one of their houses.
Did that show a murder? I thought it was sex abuse but stopped short of murder, but maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

Audrey was just Nick P. fucking with the viewer the entire time. She was just a typical angsty teenager who could not have looked like a more normal adult.Just finished. Good ending, but after all the speculation, it left me wanting more closure as far as Audrey and the Tuttles are concerned. I guess nothing is ever really solved after all.
Come on season 2!
All these interesting elements about Marty's family, corruption from higher up, and the up and coming cops kind of just fell by the wayside as the show poorly wrapped up its ill defined criminal case.

No... no... I want someone to explain how a person paints both their ears green while painting a house.

People aren't getting this. He was always here.
his family has been here for a long, long time
That was Marie Fontenot who was never seen again, so I'm assuming they killed her.
From my understanding it was a ritualistic murder
I think you have two circles: one with Errol, one with the Tuttles. There's some overlap, but they're mostly distinct.
But one thing that bothers me is how a guy with a face like that could be so hard to find. Did I miss something?

no it was him.
he's literally evil incarnate. am i the only one who saw it this way?
Still not really getting it.
He had a beard in ep3, which shouldn't have been able to grow because of the scars, so I don't know. He doesn't have beard in ep7 though, so he seems to be out in the open without a care :/
Someone need to explain to me how is it the green house is green ears...
I just knew when Marty pointed out, "why the green ears?" That it would've been revealed as green earmuffs -- lawnmower man... Would've been a lot easier to make sense of than a painted green house.No... no... I want someone to explain how a person paints both their ears green while painting a house.
I saw it separate. Errol liked to display his victims. The rest of the group were quick to cover it up. They had been doing it for a long time, without getting caught. I dunno. I got the sense that Errol became obsessed with killing.

Errol wasn't in the tape.dude do i need to shout or what
childress was the absolute devil, and rust and marty shot him down, but they didn't get all the roots cos we're evil, and he'll be back (NOT THE ACTOR, CHRIST) next season
the crown is nothing, the root abides. his family has been here for a long long time! i mean come on
He got paint on himself, there's your answer.
Why would he be hiding?
It's not like there was a search party looking for him. The case was closed.
one murder junkie wouldn't hold rust's attention, this was a sprawl, like he was saying. it goes much deeper than errol. it goes back centuries and will keep going forward. we'll never meet the yellow king, the next cast will pick up the torch and it'll be rough on us all but we'll chug along.
that's what i take from this sorry tale of two drunks.
Errol wasn't in the tape.
Da he'll you talking about in these posts?
I mean, so many people know of "the man with the scars." He even works out in public. How he could be so elusive with no one remembering his name is beyond me.He had a beard in ep3, which shouldn't have been able to grow because of the scars, so I don't know. You just said he waswhy would he have to be?

The paint thing was years ago, why the sudden far-fetched jump now. And what about the green spaghetti? He got paint all over his hairs, face, and everything but not his scars?
Green ears was kind of forced; they could have gone through the tax records of the Childress family way sooner. That, or getting something from interrogating the Sheriff, that was a huge risk with no payoff for the pair.
It was 17 years ago, Rust and Cohle weren't even looking for "the man with the scars" in 1995.
Marty was looking at pictures of that house and made the connection. I'm not sure what your second point is, the kids refered to him as the "green eared[/] spaghetti monster", so presumably his face wasn't covered in paint.
They didn't go through the tax records for the Childress family, and I don't know how that would have given them anything if they had since they wouldn't know what to look for. Interrogating the sheriff gave them another piece pointing to Childress.
I'll just reiterate the Naomi Watts pick cos we all know Dave is busy making a movie with Laura.
Who is he co-star is my question?
Not arguing that it doesn't go back. But I'm saying this specific case with Dora Lange and her body being put out on display. IMO this was separate from the sacrifices being done by the secret society of families living that region. That is what made the ending so disturbing, because in the end they CAUGHT their man that killed Lange. But those that killed the little girl, and who have been doing these things for decades were not brought to justice.
IMO Errol was apart of this society, but took it in his own direction. I personally don't see this MO of displaying the body, as really jiving with the other sacrifices in the past.

Dude I'm sorry to be blunt but are you fucking retarded? The shows second season has nothing to do with this one.
