SGF was the best show. Highlights for me were FF Revelation and Resident Evil Veronica. I think if Nintendo had actually shown a little bit of OOT Remake they would be the clear second place choice (or maybe even #1 depending on how good OOT Remake is) but because they showed so little and didn't have much new Nintendo titles, I think their showing isn't even enough for 2nd place. I would say Xbox's showcase won second place with an impressive showing including a very promising Gears E Day, a new Spyro finally being unveiled (thanks partly to Xbox's financial support and allowance of Toys 4 Bob to be independent), Fable continuing to look really good, a few other noteworthy reveals (Doom DLC, Persona 6 reveal, Crazy Taxi) and reenergized enthusiasm for the Xbox brand with the return of console exclusives.

MS announced a fair number of upcoming projects too. Most aren't my bag, but if you're into shooters, there was a lot of future content shown. That Magicians game tickled my brain.

My idea of a good show is biased towards new announcements too, which is why SGF takes the cake this year.
The only upcoming shooter I care about is Judas and a possible Destiny 3.

Unlike him you are serious though.

1. Summer Games Fest / Geoff Keighley (FF7R, Ueda, SB2, etc)

2. Nintendo (Xenoblade, KH4, Zelda)

3. Playstation (poor showing)

4. Xbox (would have made it third if the P6 reveal had gameplay)

1 - SGF
2 - Nintendo
3 - PS
4 - Xbox

I found it pretty surprising that there was nothing from Square Enix at the Sony show. SE presented FF7:Revelation at Gamefest and presented multiple games including Kingdom Hearts 4 at the Nintendo show. Sony got absolutely nothing, not even a 2DHD game like FF: Resonance. Huge change from a couple of years ago when Sony was moneyhatting SE in order to get timed exclusives like FF 16 and Forspoken.

What???
Most/many of the (non first party) games Nintendo shown is coming to PC. In fact, the following already have Steam pages:
- Final Fantasy Resonance
- One Piece: Grand Gourmet
- Muramasa
- Pikuniku 2
- Atelier Karia

And these are confirmed to be released on PC as well:
- Kingdom Hearts 4
- Dragon Quest Monsters
- Tales of Eternia Remastered
Other than Kingdom Hearts 4, none of those games interest me lol. They're mostly niche titles. Even dragon quest, the spin-offs barely sell at all outside Japan. I think the last DQ monsters only just passed 1m sales.

FFXVI bombed as a PS5 exclusive and FFVII Rebirth's sales disappointed as a PS5 exclusive. Japan is Nintendo land and S-E needs their titles to move beyond Playstation "soft" exclusives

Usually everybody loses for me, but this year I have to say that the 25th anniversary Xbox + Halo + Gears + Crazy Taxi, all looking good, made me quite happy for once.
