i havent been able to stop listening to Tom Waits for like 2 or 3 months now. heres something that really got in my ear yesterday. the emotion in toms voice harkens back to his days of old, when everything was different and, generally speaking, better. its melancholic, longing and sad, but also reminiscent of good memories and a reminder how beautiful life can be, even though it doesnt last forever.

or at least thats what i get form it. i never know what the hell tom is singing about but it never fails to absolutely captivate me
