No they haven't, they somehow got some PS5 numbers from 2022 and worked it out but they do have one number for Switch, 30,459 for May 2022 so i can work it out by working backwards from May.
January 2023 - 38.317 (February 15% down on January)
February 2023 - 32,570 (flat with March)
March 2023 - 32,570 (April up 26% on March)
April 2023 - 41.039 (May down 5% on April)
May 2023 - 38,987 (up 28% on May 2022)
Jan to May 2023 approx - 183k
because it is 8% down YTD then:
Jan to May 2022 approx 199k
We also know that PS5 is selling almost NSW+XBS combined YTD so if we assume PS5 is 49% and NSW+XBS is 51% then
Jan to May 2023
PS5 - 286k
NSW - 183K
XBS - 114k

The ratio has got even more extreme since this thread was created. What a blood bath. Then consider that many of the xbox sales will be series S. Imagine the ps5 and series x split. Then remember pre launch perception about the power of series X and gamepass being game changers. Gotta love this kind of narrative collapse.

I think that's why we are hearing rumblings about an internal pivot.
Multiple people independent of each other have mentioned that Xbox Studios, ABK and Bethesda are porting titles over to PS, or are at the very least rescoping projects so that PS is in the platform launch list going forward.
We've also had credible rumblings that the next Xbox HW isn't as far away as the ABK trial suggested. Rumours are it's a higher spec, higher priced PC-like machine. Essentially Microsoft are conceding the console space and are making a machine for the top end enthusiasts.
Gamepass is therefore in a rough place as console growth was its main vector before sales collapsed. There had been talk internally about scrapping day one releases but who knows where that ended up.
All happening around the time that we get a Blade Trailer with no Xbox branding or platform intentions (and the PR is clear of it) and other Microsoft owned IP/Published games getting ported to PS.
There's no smoke without fire and it sounds like Microsoft will be becoming a publisher on a wider range of platforms, including from their own Xbox Studios teams.
