If Sony wants to impress me then they need to show up with more than just three last gen games.
Sony is breaking gaming history records of money generated, consoles sold and games sold, and their 1st party games are selling better than ever and winning more GOTYs than ever.
They don't give a fuck if their games impress a specific single person or not as can be you. They are performing better than they ever did.
Regarding their hype bullets, it would be stupid to spend them now that they don't have consoles in the stores beacuse every new batch gets sold out in a few minutes. They will spend them when needed, once shipments achieve a level where shops get a steady stock again.
- Horizon
- GOW
- GT7
- TLOU remake
- Silent Hill remake
- MGS remake
- Forspoken
- FF16
- Ghostwire tokyo
- CoD
Silent Hill remake won't exist and we don't know if MGS will happen. If it happen, very likely will be top tier stuff like Horizon, GOW, GT7 and FF16.
In any case, I think that in the coming months -whenever they are able to have enough stock in the stores that last for weeks and not a few minutes- they can show in addition to the other games you mention:
-TLOU2 MP game
-TLOU2 Director's Cut: a PS5 version of the game bundled with TLOU1R and maybe the MP game
-Insomniac's 2022 game (Spider-Man 2?)
-Guerrilla's other game that they have been developing since 2018 (Killzone or a new IP?)
-London Studio's AAA game
-Sony Santa Monica's new IP (but may wait a year or two to show it)
-The game developed by the Destiny/Halo guys (in development since 2018)
-Arrowhead's next game
-Team Asobi's next (PSVR2 launch game)
-PSVR2 full reveal
-PS Now (and maybe PS Plus) next gen improvements
They keep saying how they have 25 games in development at their first party studios, and I am like where are they?
He said that they had
more than 25 games under development back in May, and we officially know they have in the works:
-Dreams
-Ratchet Rift Apart
-Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut
-Death Stranding Director's Cut
-Horizon 2
-GoWR
-GT7
-TLOU2 Factions MP game
-Team Asobi's next game
-Wild (Michel Ancel game, if not canned)
-Haven's first game
-Firewalk's first game
-Deviation's first game
-Bend Studio's new IP
-Next Pixel Opus game
-Next MLB game
-Guerrilla's other game being developed since 2018 (via job offers/LinkedIn)
-Sony Santa Monica's other game that isn't GoWR (via job offers)
-Sony London's next game (via job offers)
-Housemarque's next AAA game, to be bigger and more ambitious than Returnal
-Uncharted 4 PC port
Even if not mentioned oficially we know they have:
-TLOU1 remake
-TLOU2 PS5/Director's Cut
-Another Uncharted spin-off, we don't know if canned when Bend left the project or if ND continued with it
-2 or 3 Insomniac games (the next one very likely to be for 2022, and may be Spider-Man 2)
-Ghost of Tsushima 2
-More PC ports to be handled by Nixxes
-Games from their deal with Kadokawa
-Pretty likely the next games from Bluepoint, Arrowhead and other 2nd party studios like KojiPro
Sony's AAA games take around 5 (or even up to 7 or 8) years to be developed and due to covid you may add maybe another one. They now prefer to show them when close to release, around a year or two before release. Some of these games may be still in early stages of development, so obviously won't show them now, they will show them when ready.
