I got that "Badass" line yesterday on Legendary. I got it another time (unsure of difficulty) as well, must be random.

The more I play the campaign the more I like it, Legendary is great.

Can you or anyone else that's in the know-how tell me why film clips cannot be watched with people on the party? The game gets stuck in a black screen, and the host has to sign off to get everyone else out of the screen.

If it says "Preparing Clip" or whatever, it's not frozen, it just takes it about 5 minutes.

You COULD do it in Halo 2, except you'd have to set it up.


I wonder, Could Bungie put in armor permutations in the future? That could be triggered by medals or what ever?

And why am I missing an Elite shoulder piece?

I think the armor changes you can unlock with achievements is an awesome idea however I feel its to subtle. I can put on any combination of shoulder pieces and you will NEVER have any idea while playing multiplayer. The helmets, eh the hyabusa yes but the others, not really. I wear the katana and you can hardly see it unless someone is on your team and accidentally gets stuck running right behind you... I dunno, I'm just a little underwhelmed with the unlockables.

On the podcast with o'donnell that was linked somewhere on gaf last night, o'donnell said he was just finishing up the soundtrack, so who knows. Regardless, ring tones here I come!!!

Actually, I just looked and I don't have any games from October 5th and I'm pretty sure I played a lot on that day. Weird..
 
Finally got my first Killtrocity in a mult-team swords game. I also got a Slice 'n Dice while I was at it too! The film is in my shared directory, and I'll publish a screen shot sometime too.

I just checked mine out and it's updated a majority of my matches. For some reason though, the matches I had with Benjamin Birdie and another guy (I believe it was Truelize, could be wrong through) aren't up there. If I recall correctly, those matches also occurred on the 5th..

Edit: I meant the 5th, not the 25th. :lol
 
Your perfect in Lone Wolves is mesmerizing, Ramirez. I like your shotgun-melee combo and you have a great understanding of how the radar works. On a map like Guardian the radar confuses the hell out of me but you knew exactly where all those guys were. Amazing poise, man. Great stuff.

You sure? I thought the sword achievement had to be done in ranked.

And Lone Wolves ranked, at that...
 
After several days my stats updated, surprised my k/d ratio is roughly the same since my little brother has been palying on my account and he's even worse than me :lol
 
Allright an update, awesome. But my stats from the 5th still aren't there, like others here. I played a lot of matches then, so I hope they show up. Still missing: campaign stats! I got through my heroic run and I can't wait to see how many deaths I got
 
Looks like the kills I got from the game I JUST played updated.

Games from yesterday, not so much. I had a couple of triple kills too...(that's good for me)
 
I'm not missing games from one day; instead, I'm missing a game here and there, it's strange.

Also, I guess we're not getting a podcast today. :(
 
Dear fellow GAFERS,

This weekend I was playing co-op on the third mission with my buddy but, before we could finish the mission we had to turn the 360 off and resume life. When I finished the mission alone today I noticed I did not get an achievement for the mission but, I did receive achievements for later missions. If I jump back and play the third again will I get the achievement for the mission and keep my status of finishing the game on heroic(the only level I have been playing it at)? Thanks gafers, it might sound anal but what can I say, I'm an achievement hoar.

You can go back and play it and still get the achievement.

What's wrong with the spawns? I haven't noticed anything odd about them. The only thing that has been bugging me is the fact that there's some melee-lag.

One example, I was playing Last Resort last night, Territories. We're outnumbered because the genius matchmaking and netcode booted the two players in our party. Four on two...we take all the territories except the one in the base. I go in with my teammate and kill everyone in there. We're taking the territory, their team spawns IN the base. We die.

Another example, playing Oddball on Guardian earlier. I pick up the Oddball down in the bottom in the center. The guy I killed, to take the ball, spawns in the hall adjacent to the room, kills me.

Those are just the two I can pull off the top of my head. In the short amount of time I've played Halo 3, I have been screwed multiple times by shit spawns. I've played shotty/snipers on High Ground where our team is ON THE BEACH and one of their teammates will spawn in the water behind us and kill everyone. That is ridiculous and unacceptable.
 
Spawns are soooooo terrible right now, it's by far the number one complaint in every lobby. It's REALLY bad in High Ground though, mainly with people spawning behind you. I've been IN the water and had the enemy spawn right next to me. I can already tell I'm hitting the point at which I'm not going to be able to advance any further because the spawns are so fucked up. We lost 3 of our last 5 games due to it, it was tied/near tied at the end and bullshit would happen. In the Pit I had three enemies spawn around me in a triangle formation -_-.
