I don't know what could be causing your copy of Halo 3 to do that, to be honest. It could be a cache problem. Every time I've played through Campaign it's been silky smooth for me. Maybe a little sputter here and there.

Thanks. I've been finding MP is as bad if not worse. I might have to try a different copy or something.

I did in about 5 matches. The very best level to get is High Ground as you can get every FFA achievement bar Steppin' Razor. For that you have to rely on The Pit as Construct is too big to ever be selected.

I noticed that too; however, I noticed there was one clip that stated I had the wrong version of Halo 3. The clip was on the Guardian map.

Hmm, my trick for the meta-game is as followed:

Turn on skull : Famine, Fog, Iron + one more of your choice.
Play on normal.
Load up level.
Win away.

I ended
Jungle
with 40,000+ and
Crow's Nest
with 55,000+ (these are the scores that are showed at the end of the level when it shows the statistics for the level)

almost every game i've run into tonight had people boosting. you just need to speak up before the game starts and ask if anyone needs achievements.

were you playing co op or solo, and how easy is normal..i started with heroic

1) Go to Xbox dashboard System blade (purple one), select language
2) Pick the very last option (Chinese)
3) Boot into Halo 3, select Lone Wolves and then press X for custom searching options.
4) Select the last option (which matches you with your language)

Then when you're done just go back in the dashboard and change your language back to english.

Don't you have to recover your GT as well?
 
Hey guys,
I have experienced something weird today. I had unlocked the security shoulder perms a couple of days ago, as had my brother on his 360. But today, both of us have lost them. They are saying that they are locked and not selectable. Anyone else have this problem?

so you only have to recover once right, when you go from chinesse back to english...or both times?

think i figured out the best way to get the rest of my achievements with skulls

heroic x2
iron x3
tough luck x1.5
fog x1.5
famine x2
thunderstorm x1.5
mythic x2

total x13.5

Really? I didn't recover and they're showing up normally (in English) on my Xbox.com profile.
 
you only have to recover your GT once you are done getting the achievements you need

once you switch back to english in the dash they'll be in chinese when you view them. i believe that if others look at them (like people on you friends list) they will show up in english
 
I finished my Meta-Game achievements tonight and got We're In For Some Chop too. I just have to get Lieutenant (10 EXP away. Would be closer but I get frequently disconnected due to some Internet problems at school) and grab some like the Mongoose splatter and Two For One.

I got Mongoose splatter last night after trying for three games in a row on Iso/HG and HG -- it wasn't bad, actually.
 
Wow. Today was the first free day I've had in a long while. My work just has to ramp up with the release of Halo 3, now doesn't it. Anyway, yeah, I haven't got to visit this thread in quite some time. :(

Speaking of achievements, right now I only need the meta-game ones, the kill-three-in-a-vehicle one, overkill, two-for-one-splaser, and triple-kill-with-the-sword. I actually wasn't even looking for my Mongoose splatter achievement when I got it, to tell you the truth.

Unsuspecting sniper+luck=yay!

- Killing Frenzy
- Triple Kill
- Overkill
- Mongoose Mowdown

Only problem is THE ACHIEVEMENTS ON MY DASHBOARD ARE IN CHINESE.

Its all good though... :D

EDIT: OK...it looks as if recovering my GT will correct that. Awesome.

it will correct it on your dashboard...or just on xbox?


id rather go w/out then have 5 chinese achievements when i pulled up my halo 3 achievements, even if only i se them in chinese

They don't show up on xbox.com or bungie.net as Chinese but they do show up in your dash. Check my GT: Proteus through your Dash to see if they show up on other people's dashboards in Chinese.

When ever I try, I can't do it. I've done it in custom games without trying.

I need to zone out.

I met up with players on my Friends List three times in three matches.

It depends on your ranking, I think.
 
lol... I was just trying to get the chop achievement in campaign and decided to take out my marines so they didn't get in my way. I can't remember what they said exactly, but they turned on me in a big way and very nearly kicked my ass. :lol
 
Well, I chinese-d it up a notch, and got the hard ones out of the way. It leaves a sour taste in my mouth, but now I'm closer to my armor.
 
I wonder how long the single player game is going to last, realisticly. I wouldn't be surprised if people just go on and forget about the meta-game soon and just focus on the multiplayer matches.

Dude, you just helped me out more than you'll ever know! I got the meta-game achievements for both Sierra 117 and Crow's Nest without much effort at all because of this skull combination. Jesus, what a load off my back knowing I can get these much easier. I was going to eventually have a mental breakdown trying to get them on Legendary with no skulls. Many thanks! :)

For those who don't have them in Team TGS, on our terminal run do we need to be on legendary to get the Marathon Man Achievement?

Cause I don't have the Meta achievements, and I don't think Armubaba does either.

EDIT: Looks like he's doing it now. Guess I'll be doing this on my own.

It would be cool if they had friend leader boards for the meta-game. I know that would increase its longevity.

Personally, I think I'm going to be coming back to it a lot. I love playing campaign and the meta-game provides a method for me to "compete" with my previous play sessions.

I think one of the Terminals will only appear on Legendary. (Could be very wrong here though..)

Btw - If you ever need help getting them, just send me an invite and I'll gladly join up with you. TGS does not leave any man behind!

You are :P, I got my Marathon Man by getting them all on Normal. However, there is different text in them on Legendary
