Mr Vociferous said:Why are you talking to me about the line at the beginning of the game? I only made a passing reference at it with a few words and nothing more. I said nothing of its context, only that the Arbiter.re-uses it later
The line I am referring to is at the end of the game with a completely different context, one which you've apparently misunderstood.
I can tell now by your avatar that this conversation is going to be an arduous one for me if I decide to continue it.
I didn't misunderstand the statement at the beginning of the game, but the one at the end I believed took on a different meaning. I appear to have been wrong, as it makes sense holding the exact same meaning to a certain degree. It also adds flavor to the 'nod.'The Lamonster said:Wow. Only on GAF. Kudos good sir.
don't get all pissy. I own the game (LE) and bought a gold subscription for it. I do think he is mostly correct though in regards to the lack of a back story in this installment and some of his other general comments that seem pretty normal for someone who would be playing a Halo game for the first time.Dirtbag 504 said:you came in here just to post that?
I was kind of surprised that there's almost no mention of the Covenant's religious reasoning...but there's lots of that stuff in Halo 2 so I can see where Bungie didn't want to be redundant.pxleyes said:don't get all pissy. It's not a huge deal, but this is the interpretation I subscribe to, partly because I prefer the symmetry with his earlier comment.LiveWire said:WTF are you talking about? When he says"Were it so easy" he's saying "As if killing off Master Chief would be so easy." He's seen Chief survive extraordinary situations before--the goddamn entire Covenant legions couldn't stop him, and a mere portal explosion is the end of him? "Were it so easy," the Arbiter says. He knows (or at least believes) the Spartan is still alive somehow.
You're misinterpreting what the line means. It's not that hard to understand.
And as you said, at the beginning of the game, Johnson saysGet it yet? :lol"C'mon now, we've got enough to worry about with you two killing each other." The Arbiter replies (with Chief's gun in his mandibles), "Were it so easy."
ShinAmano said:I have to say I am very disappointed in Bungie...why in the stats as wonderful as they are did they not include:
Shots Fired
Hit %
This makes me a sad panda.
In that case break it down per weapon and still have the overall stat...I used to love seeing my 70-90% hit % after matches...becasue in past Halos it was thereThe Lamonster said:Probably because that kind of statistic varies with each weapon. For example, a hit % for a turret would be way lower than a hit % for a sniper rifle.
Or Bungie was too busy eating pizza to add it.

The Lamonster said:No, I'm on your side. Picard is sad that he posted a spoiler, especially when he was talking about others who spoil.

I do too. Only because I'm a bitch to my k/d ratio. My objective every game is to kill more than I die. I don't have time to think about anything else.MMaRsu said:I like slayer much better than objectives..really..

The Lamonster said:Yes, you can quit.
That's strange. I was able to quit for the IWHBYD skull. Is it possible you did not save and quit?Shogmaster said:I was able to quit and retain the skull for everyone except for the iwhbyd skull. Even though I grabbed the skull and then quit, I had to do that one second time because it didn't retain it for some reason. That one I had to go to the ending cut scene (very close so no biggie).
I'm guessing no one has an answer for what might have caused this. I just want to know if this kind of thing was just an isolated incident or if it can happen again. Was it lag, was it a bug on The Pit specifically, can it happen on any other maps?DeadCell said:Ok so I just encountered a really strange glitch while playing a game of Duel on The Pit with a buddy of mine. At one point during the match he became completely immune to everything I shot at him, I unloaded 5 or 6 rounds from my sniper rifle (3 to the head) and an entire clip from my battle rifle, with nothing to show for it except for the blood splattering out of him... and no there was no special power ups or anything like that.
I saved a clip titled "WTF?" if anyone wants to check it out, here's a screenshot of a sniper round bursting through his skull. You can clearly see that I hit him, yet he never lost even a bit of health.

I saved and quit. I did it by myself so I couldn't have used end a co-op option.... The only option when playing single player campaign is to save and quit AFAIK.tak said:That's strange. I was able to quit for the IWHBYD skull. Is it possible you did not save and quit?
Just from reading the description, it says "Team Slayer on Snowbound" and the majority of the achievements have to be done in a ranked FFA playlist - Lone Wolves.Trasher said:Someone explain to me why I didn't receive an Extermination medal...

I did Crow's Nest last night and got 15025. Towards the end I was madly trying to get headshots so I would push myself over 15000.Ramirez said:Man, just did the 6th mission and came up 2500 short of the 50,000 mark, ain't that a bitch. :lol

Speaking of those damn achievements though...the mongoose one is impossible! I spent so many games last night just riding around on those damn things. I don't think I will ever get that one or the Spartan Laser double kill.Cocopjojo said:Oh. Perhaps I should pay attention to what I'm reading before answering. : /

I believe only Bungie employees have access to that helmet.joelseph said:I apologize for this question in advanced, what helmet has the fire animation? Thanks.
The helmets that only people who work at Bungie can use.joelseph said:I apologize for this question in advanced, what helmet has the fire animation? Thanks.
That site is wrong. I tried that method too and it never worked. The method that requires more ring jumps works.Dirtbag 504 said:And a friend and I tried to unlock the iwhbyd skull for a while last night and couldnt get it to work.
We were playing on legendary. Had scoring turned on. Had a bunch of skulls turned on. Cleared the whole last area. And did the whole jump through 4 6 5 4 5 3 4 thing, and got nothing.
Were any of those factors stopping us from getting the skull? What's the deal?
It's the only skull I have left to get.
Yes, it is easier then on the harder difficulties in my opinion.MaizeRage25 said:Are the meta game achievements do-able on Normal, solo with some (but not all) skulls on?
