This sunday is my day off and I'd like to get together with anyone to bash through the campaign on Legendary.

Right now would be nice too I guess. Nothing better to do. =/
(Not in the mood for matchmaking, it's been a long day and the last thing I need is to get pissowned by everyone on earth)
 
I just finished the campaign and sorry I'm a little drunk but I have to know: does Master Chief really die? What's the significance of 117? Thanks y'all, I love you.
 
Anyone rocket racing? I really want to try it. I just tried to get a game going with my friends but all they want to do is matchmaking. Tag - JustinS

all it said was "thank you from bungine" and some other stuff after the credits. what happens after that? how can i watch it now?
 
Sorry for asking this question (as it's probably been asked a bunch of times beforehand), but today is the first day I've been able to play the game, and I was just wondering why the game is in 4:3 (black bars on the side) when doing splitscreen on 720p.
 
 
My God, I think I'm all rocketraced out. I just checked my save films because I wanted to find out how the hell I splattered someone with their own mongoose last night and I've found nothing but goddamn rocketraces in my recent films.

Also I've yet to play an infection map that didn't suck.

Indeed. I think I'm going to take a break from Rocket Race for a bit as well, or at the very least avoid it the best I can. We probably played 15-20 Rocket Race games tonight alone..

Hit the start button and then go to "Bungie Favorites." There are two maps and a gametype for Rocket Race.

I still don't know what a Steaktacular is. I'd link to the game but the stats never showed up ... which is a shame because I went like, 24-4 in a Team Slayer match. There's an amazing clip from it in my file share where I take out too power weapon wielders in a double kill.

to maintain 16:9 -ish aspect ratio.
 
I'm on the
"Cortana"
level on Legendary and I'm frustrated as hell. Are there any tips on how to defeat the flood? Especially the spider enemies that can transform into bullet-shooting plants.

I do pretty good until I roll the Mongoose, and then I'm in the same situation you're talking about. I've spent so many games in the center of Sandtrap battling just to get back on my ATV (and then immediately getting blown back off). I swear some people just park down there and spend the entire game firing rockets at other players trying to get back on their vehicles. :lol

Throw Plasma/Firebomb grenades onto those guys. Other than that, just run. That's what I did, at least. : /

Carry a ranged weapon - spiker, plasma rifle, carbine - and a sword. Shoot the turret-type a few times and they drop, usually turning into the big lumbering guys. Kill them with the sword.

how the arbiter reached back and MC couldn't. All we can do is guess.

When did Iris confirmed this? Plus I think final answer would be in the game. And as
Guilty Spark says Humans are the Forerunners. I find it hard to believe that whatever game reveals isn't true.

We saw the Arbiter jumping into a control seat, while the Chief was in the hangar. When the camera pans out during the Chief's final scene, it shows that the ship has been sliced in half. You can see the melted steel along each deck. And when it lands in the water on Earth, you can see that the ship isn't as long as it should be. The portal collapsed while the ship was halfway through it.

EDIT: Uh, you watched after the credits, right?
 
Youall REALLY need to sit through credits. In fact, the IWHBYD secret is within the credits.

not really, but if it helps future players sit through the credits, then this lie is worth it!

N'Chala (Human) watches the gods as they build their machines. Implying they aren't human. Iris is canon.

That could be interpreted as the more advanced humans building their ships to leave. Sort of like when Europeans arrived in the Americas with guns and stuff. The Native Americans were just as human as the settlers (in fact, I recall there being stories of the Native Americans regarding the Europeans as gods).

I'm just trying to reconcile the game with the ARG. I mean, the game clearly states that humans are Forerunner. And it's pretty much been saying that all along.

Suppose Team A is camping around the lifts.

If Team B splits up in to two. One group throws a power drain from the left side. Team A runs to the right side to escape the power drain. The 2nd Team B group finishes them off.

Well. That's one way to see it. Personally I was thinking more like Cocopjojo. No matter however you see it, game ended with more possibilities for new story.
 
Oh my god the spawns are getting absurd. In the past few matches alone I have watched:

-On High Ground, me spawn at the beach, someone from the enemy team spawn behind ME, then my teammate spawn behind me and in front of the enemy.
-Spawn where I just died, which happened 3 times in a shotty snipers match on Narrows, which resulted in 3 deaths in about 10 seconds.
-Spawned on a already fucking active power drainer.

Seriously, what the fuck. Usually I chalk this shit up to me sucking and/or bitching, but everyone else we've played with is complaining about it too. They seriously need to get this shit fixed, I don't even feel like playing the game anymore. I didn't play most of today because of it, then when we decide to get back on it starts happening immediately again, almost every single game. I'm disappointed I took time off for this, I'm really starting to regret it. Losing games due to fucked up spawns over and over is crap. Where I spawned 3 times in the same spot where I died cost us the last game. That combined with shotty snipers over and over and over and over is quickly killing my desire to play this game. We had some good fun with Forge though.
 
They might as well rename the on foot section of Tsavo Highway legendary, "Truth and reconcilliation Hanger bay 2.0" Good fucking lord that's a lot of brutes, and not just the regular brutes like in crows nest, nooooooo these are jet pack brutes, brute captains, and a fucking Fuel rod brute laying down supressive/opresisve/generally fuck you up fire. This is hard shit.

I love it.
 
Completed it on Solo Heroic. I thought it was quite hard enough and not very short.
It probably took me about 10-12+ hours at least.

Just about my favorite part was
fighting the two scarabs
even though it took me a really long time to figure out how to do it just right. By the end of it,
I could take both out in about 3 minutes probably.

I liked it. Next I want to get all of the skulls and play Legendary co-op with some on.

P.S.
Screw Mission 8. Worst hour ever. I almost cried when I finally saw the Arbiter.
 
Team Doubles sucks, nix it and put in 3v3! For whatever reason, it's alot more campy than it was in 2. I could play Team Slayer with 4 people all night though, so good.

During Co-Op we were spawning off a cliff a ton!
