My Halo 3 wireless headset won't even pickup my voice a lot of the time, unless I yell into it. :\ Anyone else that has the H3 wireless headset fixed this problem?

This is probably a stupid question:

How do I turn off the slight reticule stickyness? I looked under controls but I don't seem to see it... unless I'm blind.

You can't.

I noticed that it feels like Autoaim is stronger in SP then MP.

It kept dropping me too

Also

My Headset just broke!

No idea. I can hear but I can't speak.

Holy crap. It sounds like the exact same thing that's happening to you is happening to me, including the headset breakage. WTF. Are you getting dropped from multiplayer games too? I keep getting pulled out, then dropped back into the game, or just dropped period. I can't figure out why; I think it's my connection somehow. It runs so smooth at times too. UGH.

I'm half way through level 6 (i think) right now, and i'm still enjoying it a lot.

Does anyone else think that
the flood
are actually pretty fun to fight in this game? I like the new
large, hulk-ish flood form
too, they're pretty cool.

I'm enjoying fighting the brutes a lot too, so much that i don't really miss elites, although it would be nice to fight a few of those too, i loved their grunting etc in Halo ^^

Hopefully i'll finish the SP in the next day or two, and then i'll get properly stuck into MP :D

I haven't been doing Multiplayer much. I've been being kicked from co-op (Says I ended the game when I didn't)

I just can't talk. Thats all. I can hear!

Me, my brother, and my cousin just created Mario Kart: Double Dash! in forge :D It's a blast!!! A sweet course layout (use VIP Escort mode) with Mongeese(?) hazards like falling fusion cores and slowdown your opponents with grenades and Plasma Pistols :) if anyone wants to download it or try it some time, msg/friend Lintendo64

credit goes to antimatter for the original screen and norante for the caption :lol

I played Guardian for the first time today and it reminds me of another map.

Hmm... what could it be? :D

Not that I'm complaining, Guardian rocks.
I heard there was a Chill Out remake...

Ugh. Most people on my friends list are playing campaign. Anyone want to do some matchmaking? My gamertag is Confushious.

its the same on my list. especially since some of them were bitching about campaign, i've seen some of them seemingly play through it multiple times. *boggle*

i wanna play some rocket race or other custom games, but i need to grab something to eat first.

Played it. It's good shit. A great evolution of a great game.

My friend went nuts wen he saw the Legendary ending
as he thinks it leads into Marathon.
Although I'm not too sure.

Question (spoiler):

So 343 says The Master Chief is Forerunner. He's called the Reclaimer, as in Reclaiming the index? In Iris, the players were called the Redeemers presumably because you are redeeming their mistake of Firing the Halos? Could this have anything to do with the Tiers of Forerunner mentioned in the Bestiarum?

Also there's something insane I found reading the Terminal logs dealing with Iris.

There's a mention of an AI named Mendicant Bias.

Contender AI 05-032<//>Mendicant Bias ....

Adjutant Reflexes newer avatar was titled MB_05_032.jpg

So what could this mean. AR = Mendicant Bias? And if the avatar is New AR's avatar then who's old AR? The original person that the AI was based off of?

EDIT: Just noticed the <//> thing too. Like from the transcripts of the video text that led us to the hidden frames.

Interesting stuff though!

Just came home from my first Halo 3 LAN.
House party at a friend and on midnight we rigged together 3x consoles.
One projector with 4 players, one SD screen with 4 players and one PC monitor with two players. Played well past 3 hours. Good times and I obviously ruled the roost.

I must say, before I forget, that the friendlies sometimes annoy me. Specifically in the
"The Covenant" mission when I take a Hornet/Scorpion to get the scarabs to bend so I can step inside to destroy them. What happens? After I destroy a leg from a scarab, I park my vehicle to board the scarab and finish the job, but no they don't wait for Super Savior of Mankind to retrieve back the vehicle. The bastards grab the Hornet/Scorpion and go on screwing my plan to repeat the same with the other scarab.
This happened to me many many times during that mission.

It seems I approached the two scarab fight totally differently than most people. I hitched a ride on an AI-piloted Hornet which conveniently drops you off on top of the hornet... take care of the brutes, run inside, smash the core, run back to the top and usually a pilot comes down to pick you up and take you to the second scarab. Usually.

I like that approach.

Or you could
Blow off a leg with the hornet, and blow off the back of the scarab and send missiles flying at the core. No leaving required.

Do you know if any maps work with 4 team 1 flag CTF games (kinda like Foundation)?

I miss playing no shields 4vs4vs4vs4 BR default weapons on Foundation with 1 flag. Those games get heated as hell. :lol

Here's hoping for a Foundation and Lockout remake in the future.

I thought the cutscene where
the enraged 343 Guilty Spark stares down Chief as he's on one knee and tells him he's a child of the Forerunners
was an epic scene and moment. I just sucked it all in and went "..WHAT ??"

I didn't do that at all. I
use my scorpion, got it underneath the Scarab, shot the leg, dropped it down, I backed up, jumped in and took care of business, then ran out and got my tank and rinsed and repeated.

I have done it several ways now. I'm gonna try what you guys did too though. Sounds cool.

I laughed when I saw the shout out from Frankie too. Pretty cool of him.

I've always understood that the Forerunners are the ancestors of humans. No?

As did I, it seemed like that is what everyone did.
I went on foot, warthog or whatever onto the scarab at the bottom of the down slope, land on it and own it, then jump off and use a ramp to jump into the next one :lol

I think in the end tho I did just use a hornet, was no where near as fun and I felt guilty of cheaping my way past that bit doing that, so i'll have to go back in a meta run and do it the pro way.

Heck no, I
took a Hornet, flew on top of the Scarab, and smashed up the core w/o doing any damage to any other points on the beast. Then I got BACK on the Hornet before the Scarab blew, and repeated the tactic for Scarab number 2.
Let me tell you, it feels DAMN good when you do that.

That's what I ended up doing. Well, a combination of that, then the other one 'manually' using a rocket launcher.

That's what I did except that I boarded a Banshee that was flying by instead of waiting for a pilot to pick me up. :D

The cutscene where
343 is blasting everyone. When he kept hitting Master Chief, and he would just keep getting up, reminded me a ton of the scene in Fellowship of the Ring where Boromir kept getting shot by the arrows but he just kept going.

Such an awesome scene.

Just finished on Legendary Co-Op. Did it just two of us. Also, anyone think that the ending of the game sets up a Boarding Action remake? Would be awesome for Shotty Snipers.

Read after completion on Legendary.

So that ending planet (or ship) after the credits is the Marathon.

My friend pointed it out and it just makes sense.

Could be. Or
another planet in the Halo Universe. There's still a lot to tell. 6 Halos floating in space. Did destroying the ark destroy them? I don't think so.

All I know is it will be a very long time before we find out.

Well the last chapter is titled Full Circle and looking at all the history of Marathon it just really makes sense.
