I think there working on it now. Halo 3 planet said they would have a tutorial video up in about an hour.

Its crazy how that IWHBYD thread on bnet got to like 4000 posts in 2 days.

Im a new comer to Halo and I pretty much suck but I would love to get into some Gaf games to improve my skills. Ill be on tonight around 11pm est. Please invite me to the party............

Also how the HELL do you get the second skull on the ark? We tried that last night for like 30 minutes and we didn't get it. We know excactly where it is though :\

bring a grav lift with you and lay it about 2/3 of the way down the ramp. you can find a bunch near the scarab battle, if that structure nearby before you head indoors.
 
How do we get an invite to the gaf online crew list? I would love to get a core of about 10-15 people together who competitively like to play Team Slayer or any of the matches. I'm -6 CST and my info is listed in the roundup thread.

I play about 2 hours during the day and usually a couple hours from 10pm-12am

I assumed the notes played were an example of a halo theme midi or something *shrugs*

I want to get in on some GAF games too; however, I'm in a crunch mode right now until Monday (work/school). Next week I'm going to play the hell out the game.

On the Limited Edition DVD in the sound documentary, there is a brief clip of him recording dialog. Adam Baldwin (who was also in Firefly) recorded dialog too, and I spotted Ron Perlman in there as well.

-Only works on Sandtrap, which I included a variant of, right now. (May try to create a Valhalla version later.)

-2 Banshees and 1 Hornet (which is necessary for the VIP) per side. All are indestructible. (That number was the most allowed- I would have preferred to have had all Hornets and lots of them, but it wouldn't let me)
-Gravity has been increased to prevent rocket jumps to the escort points.
-Each person carries a rocket launcher and a plasma pistol. (Dunno how much rockets actually throw off aircraft.) Both have infinite ammo.

Let me know what you think. (I can take harsh criticism- I didn't actually get a chance to test it after all.)

I'd be up for some games later tonight. I'm a decent player in Halo and Halo 2, but I haven't familiarized myself with the Halo 3 maps yet.

Can someone explain the mauler to me?

Right now it seems really overpowered. All I have to do is shoot a dude in the head then bash him once. Without dual wielding. Is there something I'm not noticing?

I will be starting this in 3 hours.. I don't know about any of the skulls but I have enough caffeine to last as long as someone wants to! I've got another guy for sure tonight that is a solid player that is down for helping.

I would like to have the plan completely memorized before then. I'm stuck at work. So is there somewhere to read about what the best strategy is to get the samuri helmet? Because I want that shit so bad I could cry lol.

I destroyed with it on Epitaph the other day - carrying two of them in the upper corridors.

Man, I gotta finish Campaign stat. End of mission seven (or what I think is the end, the last two just kept on going). I really want to dive in MP.

That's exactly where I am. :lol

I keep blowing up my Hornet when I take out the first one, the explosion is so wide it just keeps getting caught in it. I finally parked far enough away and took it out, but the hike back was so long a pair of Prowlers mowed me down. But hot damn is that a crazy, fun battle.
 
the mauler melee combo is cheap. i have killed people by barely aiming at them with the mauler, still getting a hit, then launching right into a melee. it's so fast that it's feels cheap.

Fucking same thing happened to me, lost my Hornet while I was taking one down and then got raped. At that point it was 3 AM, so I went to bed.

it's a shotgun that's the whole point

you can kill people if you are near them but not if they are not near you
 
Question, how are you guys finding these skulls? Are you using a guide or doing it on your own?

And would anybody be willing to play co-op w/ me to help find these???

Seriously, I need some Guinea pigs! My Warzone bomb map is complete, and even without people shooting you can die :D

It's a Bomb Variant where all you have to do is take the bomb from one end of my section of Sandtrap to the other. Instant set in place, and instant explosion.

Oh, and the people on the high ground all have lazorz.


I think the Bomb type is broken, so I'd like to get 3 people to help me test it out...

I love that battle. Super awesome. A bit easy though, you just keep your distance with the Hornet and use missles to take out the ground support, then land on the Scarab.
That entire level is SO good, and I love those Hornets.

I'm on the last level, near the end. I've almost finished the fight. Tomorrow will be the day of multiplayer.

There are so, so many ways to approach that battle it's absurd.
You don't even have to leave the hornet if you don't want, or you can do what absolutely everyone does the very second they realize whats going on and crash the damn thing right onto the deck. You can even land on it if you are one of those nancies that goes about making escape plans. And then you also got every other way you took out the other two if you so desire.

I just dived onto the scarab from like twenty feet above it first time around, didn't even bother thinking about that whole "it's gonna blow up" thing and luckily it landed a good ways away so that I could do it again.

yeah I don't care about pride really. i've already beaten it on heroic solo that's all i need!!!

i will play through on normal to get these skulls but it'd be nice to do it in co-op so i'm asking gaf for help.
