I mostly played Slayer during the beta, so I'd say yes.
 
does the headset not work if you're using the 1 month gold trial that comes with the 360?

also, how do you tell who's the host? is it just the person thats at the top of the list at the lobby?

I have a -2 penalty and I've never quit a team game. My internet went down during a Slayer match the first night, but I was listed at 0 until today.

I've only betrayed (double) once accidentally during a CTF match too, so I have no idea if those count for some reason.

The only other time I can think of is I had one of those server glitch rooms where there were 8 people but when the match started, I was the only person in the room. It just automatically said Blue Team won and cycled back to matchmaking.

I've got a -1 and have never deliberately dropped out of a game either.
 
I beat Halo 3 last night on a friend's 360 on Co-op mode...
We had a fucking blast! It was super awesome.
Just thought I'd share :)
 
Beat it last night

Great game.

I never said "Gears of What?"

and I still think Bioshock is the better choice for GOTY so far on 360,

But this was very good also.

I was worried about some of the later levels, but the end was very good. Will be real interesting to see if Bungie does something totally different next.
 
Tried to join to gaf bungie group also...

My info is

Played for the first time yesterday. Started the campaign but wasn't really feeling it so I hopped into MP and enjoyed that a great deal more. The only problem is I don't know what half the new shit does because of that. Guess I'll learn it the hard way.

Would love to play with a more casual crowd who aren't Halo Masters so feel free to send me a friend invite.

Also my thumbs are killing me. Halo really makes me use them to crank around so much. But it's a good kind of pain ;)

There is a menu to activate them in campaign mode. Not the solo one at the very top but the one just underneath called "campaign". Hit X and it will take you to a menu screen to turn on scoring and some skulls.

Enjoy.
 
You can still find skulls and terminals if you play in campaign scoring right? And are the campaign stats on your profile based on all the times you play or just the most recent run through you are working on?

Fake Edit: I know we have a photo mode thread, but come on... the world needs to know the genius that is rocket race.
 
couple things to bungie:

fix the framerate. soooo many hiccups in mp games - maybe you don't notice it like i do... but just stand in the middle of a level and turn around slowly.

fix the grenade damage... it's weak like at halo 2 launch again (which you fixed, and will have to fix again)... i'm talking mainly about the frag grenade

you can't kill off a single frag now. whoever balanced it probably did it off figures "durrr the frag grenade has too high a kill count! durr let's weaken it a little!" not really taking into consideration you basically spawn with them all the time

statistics aren't always your friend!


why won't your secondary armor color show up in forced armor color games? the secondary color only takes a fraction of viewable area of your armor... plus it makes my guy look stupid


why the ridiculous limits on forge? no carbines on guardian? wtf is that? you can't put a flamethrower on sandtrap?! wtf again

so many stupid limits Forge... our way... not yours

There really needs to be a way to sort names on your friends list into groups. I added a ton of gaf people before halo 3 came out as well as quite a few since it's been out from game's I've played but at this point I can't tell who's a gaffer, who's from my work, who's family, whos a real life friend, who's my mom.

I'm 90% sure I have you in my friends list but up until a second ago I had no idea where you were from or why i added you.

Must be from one of those GT exchange threads for Halo 3 or GoW or something. And yeah, we should be able to organize friends. For me thought, I'm pretty familiar with my RL buddies' GTs so if I don't immediately associate a name with a face, its most likely a GAFfer (since I don't post my GT in other forums).

Anyways I'll be inviting random GAFfers tonight for Team Slayer. If you want to join, send me a friend request or something and say you're from GAF and want some TS. :D
 
so unless i have a bunch of friends to play with i cant do any custom/forge games?

that kinda sucks if so... is there any plans for a separate matchmaking for custom/forge or even optimatch or whatever?

i suck online and im quiet but i joined the GAF group.. will some of you kind fellows be my friend?

I'm in the process of writing my thesis, plus new g/f and friends = no time.

ill send you a friend request. im a newbie too so i dont know the maps and what weapons are better than others.
 
I signed up for the GAF group as well.

Won't be around this weekend, but I'll be on all next week.

I'm also want to do a co-op run through on Legendary sometime in the near future. If anything is interested send me a FR or a PM.

WHA?! They're perfect right now. Not anywhere near the shit-weak grenades at Halo 2 launch.
 
I Party'ed up with a friend and a some random guys from sweden we encountered in the first match. After that we won 8 straight matches, the teamwork was insane, covering each other etc.

It's also cool that grenades can "clash' in Mid-air, something I didn't noticed before.

The campaign is almost perfect, first you get these normal but awesome defend the base, destroy enemy base missions, just to make sure the
flood invasion, with the destroyed city
makes an even bigger impact.
The scene with the covenant ships burning down an entire continent to make sure the flood would be destroyed was breathtaking
. I can't wait to finish the campaign, but so far it's great.

Joined the GAF group, awaiting approval :D
