The option to subscribe to Bungie Pro has been taken out of the game for the moment. I'm sure it'll be back in soon, but it just about drove me crazy trying to find it yesterday.
 
I'll play with GAFers anytime, just send me an invite. Be warned that I probably won't have my mic on because I'm back in college now and don't plug it in when my roommate is around. If I'm only playing a game or two between classes or work I probably won't accept your invite either but don't take offense. Feel free to invite me any time. Roommate picked it up yesterday and he's playing through tonight on Heroic. Then we'll probably play Legendary Co-Op and do Campaign scoring at the same time.
 
Why was Johnson so important to the Covenant? Where the hell did the Ark take them? Was that some sort of portal world that linked to all the other Halos? How was Cortana able to constantly communicate with the Chief? Why did the new "Halo 1" wipe out all the Flood- weren't there more of them on Earth as well as across the galaxy?

The Covenant can't activate the Halos. You see it in Halo 2 where Tartarus uses Keyes to insert the key. Maybe because it is sacred, or because they die if they do, I'm not sure.

The Ark took them to the "Halo Facility" or something in that effect. They create the Halo there.

Cortana has a connection with Masterchief deeper than just simple date transfer : she's like a mother/lover for him, much like Boss in MGS3

That's the thing I thought about, too. They did kill the Gravemind, but a Gravemind can be created again IIRC.
 
A buddy and I are looking for 2 more people to go through the campaign co-op on legendary.

Kind of annoying plot-holes:

Why does the portal take everyone from Africa to the Ark, but then when they go back through it they end up out in the middle of space? Shouldn't the portal have the same exit and entry point in either direction?

Cortana says she has found a way to wipe out the Flood without destroying the galaxy......nothing ever comes from this. Is it a lie to get Master Chief to come to the Ark? Somehow I doubt it was her master plan to detonate a new Halo....

No I was talking.. You should do a nat test for xbox live. Sounds like your router is blocking you from hearing some people.

Speaking of Bungie Pro, I can't find the button in my File Share to upgrade to it. I looked for like ten minutes throughout all the menus, and the XBLM and I couldn't find the option to sign-up.

I thought the portal does take you to Africa.. but its not an instawarp, its like a super crazy speed boost to get you there... and chief broke off during that.

I also think that was Cortonas master plan.. she had access to alot of info in the systems she had been in and found alot of stuff out... and she was connected to Grave mind and would have known his plan to take high charity to the Ark.

due to some issues they are having with bungie.net they have taken it offline temporarily. Bungie Pro will be back.

Or maybe because it is only activated by Forerunners, and we are Forerunner and they aren't
 
Gravemind's plan might have been for him to find a way to get past the ark. Like, maybe he wanted to expand outside the milky way, away from Halo's reach. He mentioned something about "beyond the gates" or something.

In the Halo fiction, slipsace portals are not instantaneous transportation. What must have happened is while Master Cheif's half was still in the portal, not in the area of the Ark, but actually in the portal when it collapsed. When the portal collapsed while his half was inside of it, the MC's half just got dumped in the middle of space.
2.
Cortana did know what was in the Ark, she knew that a replacement ring was being made, and if they could lure Gravemind into the Ark, they could detonate the rings. She was totally aware of it, that is why she sent MC to activare the button that revealed the rings.

I don't see anything in the pop-up window that says "save to my gallery." Am I missing something obvious? Is my adblocker on Firefox messing it up?
 
Hmm, did we ever have a thread in which people posted Halo 3 ( or maybe it was for the beta ) gamertags? I'm tired of going into matches solo... even though I'm just playing social until I learn the maps/weapon locals a bit better.

It's on that page you clicked on to open the popup, where all your screens are displayed. I think.

I gathered that much, but why specifically Johnson?
In the scene where Keyes gets killed, she attempts to shoot Johnson so they can't use him. Why is he the only one capable of activating them? Why couldn't they have just used any human?

* Publish to Forums
* Download to Halo 3
* View Game Stats
* Copy to My File Share
* Delete from File Share

I thought they talked about her killing them both. Something like "first kill me, then yourself"? Not sure if I'm remembering properly.

Maybe because he was a man and only men can activate it (sorry ladies), or maybe she was going to shoot him then shoot herself which is my guess.

Wait, are you on your File Share page or your Hi-Res Screenshot page? If those images are already in your Hi-Res page, you're done.

What are the benefits about making a group?
I'm thinking about doing it my self but I don't know what its all about.

There was, the plan is to set up a group on bungie.net for GAFFers so that we can all keep track of Gaffers, when they are playing etc. then jump in with them.

when you create a group, we can have all the GAFFers join it. Then you can go view your group, see who's in it and get a list of all of their profiles on bungie.net so we can look at each others profiles, get our gamertags, see who is online, etc.
 
I don't know if this has been discussed about the Red Vs. Blue guys have cameos in halo 3, but it looks like they might have recorded lots of different dialog for the same scene. In the 2nd campaign level I ran into them having a conversation about a password given during a meeting. Now Gamevideos posted this, showing different dialog about Brutes and a password. :lol

Keep in mind, though, this will be different from a Friends List so as of now, you wouldn't be able to jump into any LOEM game, just one with someone on your friends list.
