Does anyone know if the North American copy of the game is region free? I am going to be in Seattle tomorrow and would like to pick up a copy (for my Japanese 360), but I am curious if Microsoft is going to put a region lock on it or not.

If anyone knows, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

qouted the wrong person, but b&m models are usually an extremely small alteration to a standard model made exclusively [usually for the sole purpose of the store claiming its exclusive]

these tvs are virtually the same from what i can see, infact if the 65 is cheaper it might be better down the road incase of repairs if needed because the parts will be more common

I tried calling mine twice during different hours a few weeks ago asking about it, and the lady who I guess was working both times said she was gonna call the police if I prank call again :lol

:lol Figures. I still don't understand why we can pre-order there. The people that work there don't know shit about games. And I don't know any sane person that would pre-order there. Oh, well.
 
I'm reposting this because I hit the bottom of the page on 406.

Does anyone know if the North American copy of the game is region free? I am going to be in Seattle tomorrow and would like to pick up a copy (for my Japanese 360), but I am curious if Microsoft is going to put a region lock on it or not.

looks like im not getting off work til midnight, i live an hour away from my house, but a friend is picking up my copy

i am very unhappy about not being able to leave early
 
As a official Halo 2 hater I can confirm this game is great. It does everything Halo 2 did wrong right.

Master Chief has seemed to acquired a pair of Air Jordans since the beta, because his jumps get some serious air now. The battles are also pretty massive. It's great looking at a room after a massive battle and seeing dozens of grunts and brutes littering the floor. The Africa level sadly is alot more confined than you would think - the horizon is just a backdrop and if you drive towards it you fall off a cliff, but the levels after that are much more open.

They also changed the weapon properties. The Brute Shot is more like a rocket with a very slight arch. The carbine seems alot weaker while the battle rifle seems alot stronger. Brutes are just power houses, you actually have to keep on your toes when facing multiple brutes at one time. I actually like fighting them more than elites - it's alot more hectic and due to how much damage they dish out and can take, it forces you to play alot more cautiously.

never would have thought of that as in repairs. never had a tv crap out on me before.

is that more common on HD sets?
 
Has anybody that ordered from Newegg gotten any kind of confirmation from someone or something other than a sales rep that they will be here tomorrow? If it's not going to arrive till the 26th, I'll head out tonight, grab a copy, and just return the Newegg one, but they've insisted all along it will be here tomorrow.

not from my experience but when your dropping that kind of cash on a set its best to consider all scenarios

like i said they seem identicle spec wise, im thinking the only real difference might be aesthetic and that could be as minor as a slightly different color housing
 
Are all 7-11 going to be selling Halo 3, because all of the 7-11 near me didn't have a damn idea what it was or they told me to go to Walmart.

I must now enter sleep mode once again and wait another 31 hours for my copy (wed morning pickup for me), I hope none of you CE people end up with scratched fuckery.
 
Yo dudes. Just wanted to let you guys know incase you havent heard. I just found out Halo 3 is comin out tommorrow so if your interested drop by the store.


It kindof just hit me. Can't wait to hop online and play some multiplayer.

No. I'm just going to pick one up tonight from GameStop and return the Newegg one to GameStop. You could also just refuse the shipment from Newegg and they'll automatically give you a full refund.

i got my tracking number by talking to a sales rep. my information is in ups' system and is being delivered by next day air.

edit: are you still stuck on step 3?

I'll be checking my disks before I leave the store. Fingers crossed for the rest of you guys.

Yeah I feel the same. But if GameStop would be nice and give me a quick replacement, then I wouldn't mind. :D
