I started playing Halo 2 online August of last year. I am proof that you can come in to game thats almost 2 years old and become a very good player; if that game has an excellent matchmaking system.
Never forget the game that showed the right way how to do an online console game. I only wish it did not take 3 years for a game to finally surpass it.

Regular Edition; you should be able to get this with hardly any problem at all. Collector's Edition; eh, you'd be extremely lucky to get one and that's providing you get a decent spot in line beforehand. Legendary Edition; you better leave soon, get a spot in line, and pray to God you're able to get one of these. If you do in fact get one without preordering at an Eb Games/Gamestop, consider yourself blessed.

I know, it's bonkers... actually it's not a wristband, it's just a ticket, but it's not even numbered. So I don't get it. The whole idea was to get everyone to pay it off early so the line would move quick at midnight but this whole 9pm business doesn't make sense.

For those who will experience the glories of Halo 3 coop on Xbox Live tonight, here's some good news to report:
This morning I met up with one of my friend's from the UK who I believe frequents this forum...at any rate, I played online coop with two of his buddies who also live on Her Majesty's island and the connection was almost entirely flawless. We played through my (soon to be everyone's) two favorite levels and then the last level in collection efforts and lag was practically nonexistent.
I also got a chance to play some matchmaking with Mr. NeXuSDK and that was also fun, despite being eviscerated on Last Resort with Shotty/Sniper, something that in my opinion comes up way too frequently alongside the beta maps in matchmaking currently. It's fun the first few times, but after a while, it becomes grating. Can't wait for you guys to join us online!
