Hilarious craigslist story...

So I'm selling the 360 I just got back from the repair depot and get an email from a dude on cragslist like ten minutes after posting it. He offers me $15 more than the price I put up if I deliver it to his place, which ended up only being about a mile away from mine. So I walk all the way there, and just as I'm about to knock on the door, a mom opens it and says "Sorry about this but my son was not given permission to buy an Xbox." Then I see this kid coming down the stairs, who is apparently only 13, and he starts whining to his mom. "Mommmmmmm! C'mon I earned it! I mowed lawns all summer! Halo 3 comes out tonight and all my friends are getting it!" The mom rolls her eyes, offers me a ride home, and drives me home in her minivan with her son along for the ride.

The whole way back the kid is talking about how cool Halo is, trying to butter her up, and I chime in a few times about how me and all my roommates are going to be in line at midnight for it. When we get to my place she's like "OK, fine, but we have to ask your father first." She dropped me off and said she'd call within two hours with their decision.

Craigslist. Gotta love it.

Take joy in the fact that in a few short hours, no one will care about Halo 2 anymore. It would have been a nice send-off... if it'll make you feel better, I'll show you where a skull is tonight that makes Grunts' heads explode when you headshot them.

i'll care. halo 2 ends with mlg las vegas championship, which'll be the greatest and last tournament ever. the tourney to end all tourneys

Why aren't you playing Halo 3 at this very second?
 
What are my chances of getting a copy from Gamestop without a reserve tonight? Typically they get a shitload of extras for big games, but I'm a bit nervous.

I actually put it in a package and mailed it to a friend about an hour ago, since I'll be getting my Legendary Edition tonight. Trust me, it's been a long hour. I have to go to work in a few minutes though, so the rest of the night will fly by. :D

Oh shit, I did order online with HMV but it wasn't doing anything(not processed).

I will be picking mine(ltd Edition) up from my local HMV at midnight. They've got 3 Legendary available that are first come first serve. Not sure if I'll getting there that early though.

Hope you do get yours tomorrow mate, I've had stuff saying it had been shipped before online, then it doesn't turn up until the release date.
 
Is it true that if you've reserved the game at Gamestop and pay the game in full before 9pm tonight, you don't have to wait in line at midnight? You just show up, show ID (I presume...) and they hand over the game. Any verification???

Call your Gamestop. Mine said that the 9 p.m. thing was just to speed things up, but that everyone will get theirs at midnight, regardless of when they got there.
