Remember kids, if you don't watch football, tomorrow night is the return of HEROES! Also, Chuck and Journeyman make their debuts. That should keep you going if you're not going to attend a midnight launch.

When Halo 2 came out I went to a midnight launch, made it home by probably 12:40, played for about two hours... And then somehow got up to go to Japanese class at 7:30 the next morning. I was a fucking zombie, but I managed.

I'm not even going to try and compile a list for the preparations I am making for Halo 3. It'd probably be depressing. But yeah, I think tomorrow, when I (hopefully) receive my stuff, I'll put up a before and after picture.

am the same, was talking to JVB from podtacular and i said the same, as much as i love Halo campaign, and im decent at multiplayer, im not on their level by any stretch of the imagination
 
As much as I love you guyz, I can't wait to ditch this thread of beauty and joy and just freaking finish the fight.

I'm really eager to try the Team Tactical playlist, sounds very... different from what I'm used to in Halo.

The beta output a fullscreen 5:4 picture, and I imagine the retail would do the same. Wasn't natively 1280x1024; they probably did some nonsquare pixels and then stretched them.
 
So I somehow am thankful for having a warranty to my previous 360 because it totally red ringed on me while I was at work (damned skate, damn you forever!) and I did this in real life: ;__;

But EB let me change it out for the Halo LE model, so I'm ready to go now! Thank god for week long vacations.
 
I know there is a thread for gamertags in the Online forum, but I hardly have anyone on my friends list. Just some hometown friends and like 2 people from GAF. I really want to have a good online experience for Halo 3 so if anyone wants to toss me a friend invite that would be sweet.

Got a call from my local game here in the uk, they arnt doing a midnight launch as police wont let them booooo. They have all my goodies ready for me for pick up 7am wednesday morning. I wish it would hurry up goddddddd.:lol

the more challenging thing for me has been scheduling, in other words trying to take 4 days off from work when i dont have enough vaca time for even 3

somehow i worked it out almost last minute

now if only i get off early tomorrow [late shifts suck]

One more run down memory lane with Halo 2 tonight, then it's all about the new hotness.

That Gamestop commercial reminiscing about multiplayer maps and events in Halo 2 is really appropriate here.

We had some good times, old buddy. You have more than your share of quirks and flaws, horrible bedside manners and a shameless potty mouth, but I always came back for more.

hypothetically if you had just started playing halo 3 and you got tickets to the colts game this weekend in Indy, would you go to the game or use the time to play more halo 3?
 
Holy shit, I can't take it anymore! I have to post in this thread to help pass time tomorrow today. I'm utterly bursting at the seems here waiting for the morning of the 25th to arrive. I greatly missed discussing Halo amongst other things with all of you guys, seriously. I know I'm hyped when I have a deep sleep dream about playing Halo 3 co-op. :lol

P.S. - Welcome back Disgruntled, you were missed pal. Halo threads just weren't the same without you. ;)

Play Halo 3, and just watch Colts game on TV number 2.
 
Shit, I missed a BIG day today in Halo land. The miss's wanted to go to Canadas Wonderland one last time before the good weather leaves us for a long, long time. I was like "Bitch, this be Canadas Wonderland right here *points at funtime region*"... she wasn't buying it. Long story short, we went... it was boring, came home watched Family Guy and The Simpsons which were also boring, and now I'm here. :D

And while I'm here, if anyone wants to add me my GT is l DeadCell l. I need some GAFers on my friends list, I don't think I have any. Now, I don't play online THAT often (although that may change come tomorrow night), but it would still be fun to get a few games going with you guys.

I had my third Halo dream in the past month last night... It was pretty simple: I was playing a FFA match on a dream world/alternate universe version of Isolation. I found a Mongoose and was super super psyched about riding it, but then got ganked with a Grav Hammer almost immediately. I respawned right by the rocker lawnchair, and I told my friend Shaun where it was so he could rock his madd rocket skillz. It was fun -- pure chaos and bliss. :D

I yell way to much during football though. And I clap alot. It would bug the hell out of anyone I'd play with.

It's gotta be the worst dome in the NFL. Will the new one be ready for next season? That thing is HUGE!! and it kinda looks like a church. I saw at NFL opener in person. It's a monster.
 
Hey guys, where can I find a video summary of the Halo story so far?


I didn't have a chance to play the original Halo, or Halo2, so I kind of want to see what the hype is all about before I play Halo3!
