well since everyone seems to be posting their plans...

I pre-ordered from an EB Games right across the street from where I work (near the Supermall in Auburn, WA. No, it's not really all that super just a glorified factory-outlet mall). Anyway, my plan is to pop out of work at around 7 pm and see if there is any sort of line at the store. If there isn't I'll either go back to work and fool around on GAF for a while or go home. If I don't get in line I'll go back around 9 and do the check-in thing. Depending on what's going on I'll either hang around and chat with anyone who's waiting for some reason, or I've been contemplating killing some time and driving up to Tukwilla to see if I can get some Halo Beer. I'll then try to get back to the store by 11:30-11:45 and wait for them to call my name/number. It will take about 20 minutes to get home (10 if my mother's driving abilities take hold of my genetics ;-D ) and first thing I'm doing is going straight to my 360 and popping open the disc tray. I'll pop the calibration tool in and see what I can do with it on my TV (HD and widescreen but it always seems to cut a bit off of each side, the picture controls are limited). After that I'll pop in the halo 3 disc and probably lose my self from there. I'm planning on doing the campaign solo on Heroic but I might get turned into a drooling idiot at the title screen .

Yes, it does seem they wanted the spotlight on them for this big release of reviews and they certainly achieved it. After I posted that, I saw they gave Gears a good score so atleast they are susceptible to some form of "epicness".

I don't have to worry too much about lines, since you can't line up until 11 because that's when the mall is re-opening the doors to let people back in for Gamestop. There's a Barnes and Nobles in the mall that the GS manager said they were in talks to try to get them to stay open an hour later (until 11), but no idea if that panned out. There may be some sort of unofficial line outside, but there's two separate outside entrances, so it may get ugly at 11. I figure I'll probably show up at 10:30 or so and see what it looks like.

Not to make this a pissing contest, but the gamestop by my local mall said as of last week that they have over 800 preorders. Fortunately, i managed to get a copy early, but i still want the extra content on the collectors edition. Back on track though, over 800. And thats with another gamestop and a software etc literally withing a half mile.

Yeah, my 360 (newly bought, mind you) red-ringed today twice. I just took out the HDD, put it back in, this time much harder, and it has been working ever since. But still, I am afraid. I still have the CC 30-day warranty, and, frankly right now I'm too lazy, so I'll wait and see what happens.

On a different note, an avatar change is in hand now that TDG has been freed from the shackles of oppression. I'll get right on that.

If it's still under the warranty you should get it fixed while it's still under it. Believe me, if you get the 3 red lights but it starts working again, one day. It might take a week, a month, a year, but one day it will die. I went through 3 360's already. Towel trick is only temporary.
