Halo 3 comes out in 2 days....

Are there any new reviews?

I know OXM (Au) gave it a 10/10
Famitsu gave it a 10/9/9/9

Any new reviews? Tomorrow is the big review day, I very surprised more reviews haven't been leaked.

Battle Rifle starts aren't always balanced. Only for certain gametypes and certain maps (Burial Mounds, Zanzibar for Slayer, Terminal for Slayer, etc.).

But why discuss this? The AR for Halo 3 seems to be a fixture to our problems/complaints.

it's a fixture to the problems/complaints only in the average game of matchmaking.

eh I dont like 5k at all. theyve got good BRs but not enough strat to beat the top 3. dont really know why'd you call them the coolest kids either.

5k are really really nice guys. t2 hasn't been the nicest from what i've played with him

they told me (several times i made them confirm it) it would be here on the 25th. also look at their site. it says "Orders won't arrive until 9/25". so if you paid for overnight shipping you should be fine.
 
It's funny. All of the people who bitch about MLG and say they hate it would probably have a good time watching the tournaments.

I don't pay near as much attention to it as I did during the '05 season, but I still enjoy watching. I just wish there weren't so many midseason roster changes. It gets ridiculous.
 
Played and beat the campaign on legendary today.... overall IMO:

Halo 3 campaign > Halo 1 >> Halo 2 (open environments rock)
-Felt really short, however.... (maybe because I just beat Metroid Prime 3 and that felt a lot longer....)

Music was incredible...

Ending .... not going to spoil anything, but I don't get it, I guess..... will talk with people after they have played it...
 
So, anyone with the final game can you answer this question.

How much has the carbine been tone down from the MP beta? Is the BR clearly more powerful now or are they more equal?
 
I REALLY want to get a 360, but I live in the university dorms and have a 4 gig bandwidth limit per week.

On average, does anyone know how much bandwidth xbox live uses per hour of playtime? I googled it and I got 500 mb for 30 hours of playtime. That seems abnormally low. Anyone have any idea? I realize it depends on the game, but I'm just asking for an average.

That's probably about accurate. I don't have hard facts but I don't think it's as much as you seem to think it is. Obviously if you're downloading demos and stuff it will be higher, but if you're just talking about multiplayer and general XBL functions, it's not much at all from what I understand.

Few years back I was on an 8gig limit with NTL in the uk, my old xbox NEVER hit that peak and I use to use the pc on the same network for like 2 years.

Online gaming doesn't zap that much tbh.

*edit* i'm moving to a limited line next week also, costly university crap.

yeah, players need to realize that switching teams every tourney isn't going to get them top 3. it's about chemistry; stacking 4 individually skilled players on a team doesn't work, as demonstrated with teams like str8 & redemption at the beginning of '07.

but disallowing teams from switching rosters early in the season would cause pros stuck on a team that doesn't work to quit, which is never a good thing.

It probably won't be a problem if thats a weekly limit.

But since you live in a dorm, system-link is really the best way to play. We played Halo 2 system-link almost non-stop my freshman year, great times.

Omg wow...I am so fucking stupid.

I just realised that this is a homage to Ninja Gaiden. In that regard...I competely change my opinion. It's fucking badass :D. Love the shoulder pads too =P.

Well they should at least limit midseason team changes. I can see the need for changes to take place, but players get swapped around like VD.

Obviously changes between seasons are necessary and fine. Just look at Final Boss. Picking up StrongSide was the best thing they could've done.
