What's the deal with the Terminals and how they corrupt? I'm guessing we have to be really fast readers, or just replay it later.

They made it sound like the line would actually form around like 10:30 to me over the phone.

The only thing about the line is what order you pick up your preorder in. If they have enough for preorders and you come in near the end of the line, you'll probably still get it just you'll get it after the people ahead of you.

Personally, I'll be there as early as possible so I can be first or so in line just so I can get out faster.

You pay it off, get your receipt and grab your numbered wristband. Then, at midnight, you get your copy accordingly! :)
At least that's how we're doing it at the EB I work at.

You can just click on them and view them, but I wouldn't recommend it. The spoiler preview images might go away some time after release, but who knows.

Well, I guess the Eliminatio thing sort of answered my question about Warzone I had earlier. I also hope you can turn sheilds off in the Ranked matches as well, just make it pure tactics.

Mine is. It is the only GS in town that is doing it. Also, for those whose GS doesn't have a midnight launching and you want to play the game on midnight, Walmart (yeah I know) is having a midnight launching in a bunch of places, so you could just go there.

Back in January the only Gamestop near me couldn't open at midnight for Burning Crusade because it's in a mall. Now we have two, five minutes from one another, and they're both doing midnight openings on Monday, including the one in the mall.

I know that doesn't make you feel any better, but I know how you feel. It sucked having to wait until the next morning for Burning Crusade when everyone I knew online was getting it at midnight.

There's an option for a 'Team Glow' in Multiplayer so you can see the winning or losing team easier. It didn't work in the Beta, but I'd bet this is just an extension of that.

My EB is in a mall as well. They open the mall at 23:30 and then the store opens at 00:00, and we're a comparatively small town...

Well there is a retail Gamestop near the mall but it is an extra few minutes of driving, and they were out of Legendary pre orders.

The Gamestop in my mall is doing it. They're opening up an entrance through a restaurant that's right next to the store and going in that way.

All I know is that it's an option in Custom games to have one or more players running around in flames, so you can set the reason to be on fire to be whatever you want - maybe even something like "have the leader in kills be the one with a flaming head", or "everyone has to kill the flaming dude to score", etc...
 
i'm kind of glad team tactical isn't a replacement for team hardcore. if they did make a "pro" type playlist, i'd want them to do it right and base it directly off mlg tourney rules. imo i think you have to admit mlg did a pretty damn good job with their gametypes in halo 2 even if hate the kids on live who claim to be "mlg proz" (i do too)

Both - the permutations are tied to Achievements on a whole - atleast for most of them - I have no clue if there are some super-secret ones that you can unlock by finding something hidden in Campaign, etc...
 
EB at the Melbourne central mall is open but it's common as you can walk through the area to reach the underground train station at any time. They will be talking our pre-order slips from after 10pm so we can quickly go in and receive our game at midnight.

Honestly, not to spur up a fire, but MLG is stupid. OK, take out all the weapons and put only BRs. Datz FUN. I swear MLG better not ruin this game. I have a feeling BR start is going to come back, and I hate that fucking gun. Glad the AR is back.

We're only allowed 2 midnight launches a year at the mall and this is our 2nd. The last one was wasted on Madden.

The flaming head permutation if ever seen in the wild, should be carefully noted. It is not something for Matchmaking players to worry about. Unless they're very, very stupid.

I think the reason the Assault Rifle was brought back was specifically to have something between the Battle Rifle and the SMG. Of course, MLG supporters will stroke their BRs like they're a naked woman. But, it probably won't be find its way into standard matchmaking.

mlg balances the game. team slayer during 1.0 wasnt fun when you spawned with smgs versus a team of br's and carbines.

in halo 2 br starts were necessary, but in halo 3 the ar balances things a bit.

Stinkles, quick question: is the AV calibration tool only for HDTVs or does it work for SDTVs? Will it help optimize my Halo 3 experience on my SDTV or should I just not bother?
 
I know it balances it in SMG vs BR dispute, and now that the noob combo is pretty much out in 3 I better not go into MLG games and it only being rifles. Like, Im not trying to say they will ruin halo 3 completely since there is SO MUCH SHIT now, IE equipment, much MUCH more balancing, billion new weapons....etc

EDIT - but with forge, like, no one will know till MLG starts tinkering and what not. Whatever, I just want my fucking AR.

I preordered mine last year at Gamestop so I'll have to pick up my copy on Tuesday morning. :(

I won't say anything other than some maps did need BR starts, but not all of them. Is it "balanced" to capture a flag and walk out of the base maybe three steps to only die almost instantly because of four quick BR shots (sometimes it may be less due to grenades or button glitchers)?

For Halo 3, it appears no maps need a BR start.
 
So yeah, I got an Elite today. Lot 729. I open it up, plug everything in, and I get the RRoD! I'm in shock. I then take the HDD out, it works. I put it back in, and it works again.

So, I'm thinking that the HDD just wasn't put in correctly or was loose and that's the reason for the RRoD. Is my 360 safe? Should I return it?

PS- I write in choppy sentences when scared.
