I thought the same before I looked at the picture... but it's no Energy Sword, it looks like a freakin' Katana.

Edit: Oh, it's the Hammer? Image is playing tricks on my eyes.
 
I'm digging the details of the new playlists. There's nothing there that I'm not really sure about, although I did stop for a second at the cap of five in Lone Wolves. In the end, it does seem like it's going to make FFA a bit more competitive.

Team Tactical sounds very interesting. Obviously it's not Team Hardcore redux, which is a good thing. I think it'll be a nice high pressure environment and also very competitive.

All of the Unranked lists are awesome too. There are so many options here it's ridiculous. And that's without factoring in Custom Games and Forge.

Frankie, your teasing about a nod to Team Ninja in Halo 3 is now fully justified. The Flaming Hayabusa helmet will be mine. Shame you probably can't turn off the flames...

In addition, enemy player voice is disabled in game in Ranked Playlists. This is because these playlists are about the contest, and not about being Chatty Mc Chatterson. Some people love the art of trash talking above all else—there is a home for you, but it isn’t a Ranked Playlist. The scoreboard does all of the trash talking here.

Agreed. It may prevent you from meeting legitimately nice people, but they're so few and far between that the benefits far outweigh that slight disadvantage.

So how many different helmets are there to customize? is some of it unlockable, or is it all just there from the beginning?

It was one of my favorite features in the Beta.

The only ones available at the beginning (for Spartans) are: Mark VI, EVA and CQB, I think.

Am I right?

And shoulder pads can be independently changed.

But the bigger picture is what's the deal with the katana on his back? Is that just for the player picture page? Or with your Spartan actually run around with a katana on his back? Hmmmmm...

Okay, so I was crusing through Ske7ch's profo, and I came across those blocked screenies (due to spoilers). Riddle me this:

Will they be visible on Monday or have they actually finagled a way to unmark spoilery shots only when your profile shows you've gotten that far in the game?

If so, that's some serious Klarion The Witch Boy level shit.
 
can somebody please explain this gamestop preorder business to me? i got a message on my answering machine, but it makes no sense and i can't hardly hear it.

it says something about Monday at 9PM and making sure it's paid off. why do i have to do that? i've never had to do that with any game. i was planning on picking it up after school on tuesday, but will i not get it if i don't pay it off entirely?

It's just saying for those who want to snag their Halo at midnight, they want to avoid the mess with cash at the register.

Pay off from 9-12, At Midnight flash receipt to cashier, and get game. Leave. Makes things go faster.
