Even the heaviest encounters come with very few framerate drops, and while the visuals aren’t as impressive as the likes of Gears of War in static shots, the HDR lighting, attention to detail in the art direction and the sheer amount of stuff going on at once makes Halo 3 more of a looker than it may first appear. /quote]

Here's the dealio.

I'm going to be heading to the airport at around 9am tomorrow, and I'll be getting off the plane when the reviews land at noon. However, I just realized that I've got a five hour gap between when I get to the hotel and when the first thing I'm doing starts, so I can be updating the thread then. I'll be offline all of Monday, though.

That said, I'm not planning to do much actual updating for reviews - I've parked the Gamerankings link in the OP and I'll just let them aggregate them all. Literally dozens will hit on Sunday, so I won't be able to keep up. So a spin off thread is probably a good idea.

Besides, that will keep the inevitable drama and angst out of here. Someone is going to give it an eight point something, and wrists will be slit.

Wow, 500,000 grunts killed yesterday... so on launch day we could be looking at hundreds of millions of grunt deaths in a single day. They must be horny little buggers.

Where did you see this? When I tried to look up my matchmaking stats last night it said that they were not available yet. Is there some other source?

Achievements unlock armor.

Sign in to bungie.net and head to the Halo 3 section (click on the giant 3 on the front page). Stats on the top of the page. NEW ENEMY TYPES are listed. I didn't watch them all.
 
Yeah, if you want to remain totally spoiler free you don't want to go to the Bungie online page, has the enemy names, most recently played campaign levels (just saw one I didn't know about), etc.

You can flag things for download on bungie.net, and they will download automatically to the 360 if its on. If it's not on, they download automatically when you turn it on. Up to eight can be lined up at a time.

So awesome.
 
It'll probably be the hardest armor to get.

I hope Bungie is able to continuely add MP armor through the course of Halo 3's lifespan.

I've already unlocked the Hayabusa helmet. It wasn't that hard.

Also, self-taken MP screenshots are okay in this thread, right?

You got to Theater, then Select Film, then you have Recent Films, File Share, Film Clips, Campaign, Multiplayer, and Forge. Film Clips are the snippets you've cut out yourself from MP films.
 
Wow, the kill counts for the campaign is insane. One million convenant casualties a day is incredible when there barely several thousand people playing the game. No army in the universe can afford to lose several million troops a day except for the Galactic Empire, the Xeelee, or Nids.

I have 530 points unlocked and no new costumes :(

Game Assets are all the films, game type variants, map variants, screenshots associated with a game.

I think.

Edit: Though when you click on the game assets tab in a game history it shows screens and films from totally different games... hmm.
