720p is fine this gen. Next-gen I expect 1080p to be the 720p of today. I'd say you're looking at a 6 year tv set, and it's not like 720p is going to be obsolete.

The reason I've never bothered with MP is because I was so LTTP. I never even owned an Xbox, and my exposure to Halo has all happened in the last 18 months or so. After buying my 360, I basically just played the first two to prepare myself for Halo 3, plot-wise. Also, I used those games to learn how to FPS on a controller. This is me, exactly. I never owned an Xbox and only had a ps2. When I got my 360 last Christmas, one of the first games I bought was Halo:CE. I also finally played through Halo 2 this past summer, but I have never played MP on either one. My first taste of Halo MP was through the beta (faired better than I expected...) and I fell in love with it.
 
I saw two of my friends on my friends list playing Halo 3. Apparently, some place in Manhattan broke the street date and they got their copies. :lol

I live in Fullerton(like ten minutes from Disneyland). I've already payed off LE, but I have a few friends who plan on just getting the regular one.

Not your fault you don't like the game, fair enough. I mean I prefered Halo 2 to CE when the majority of people preferred CE. Actually I shouldn't say that aloud around here.

Is the game launching early? I haven't been following too closely but those IGN vids got me hyped.

How are so many people getting copies today? Thought it was the 24th.

Where can one go if they are interested in getting it early?

The game is not launching early. Some stores sold some copies mistakingly.

Oranges are my favorite fruit. It's almost full season come fall/winter. Can't wait!

I haven't heard anything in our neck of the woods. Doesn't seem like there are a lot of small, independent gaming stores around here that might be more likely to break the street date.

i just don't wanna throw away a grand on a set i might wanna replace in a year or so when bigger and better comes out.

i have a feeling the 1080 set i was eyeballing would last me a lifetime or till i broke it or something. lol


so the 32 720 should look good or close to as good for halo3 ??
if so since it's for the bedroom i just might settle.

Yesterday I recieved my replacement 360 and the UPS guy told me that he already delivered about ten of those and it was only 11 in the morning.

It seems that Microsoft is really going to try to push out as many replacement 360's during this week and the next.

SERIOUSLY? Like, really? Even Spartan women are posing for T+A shots now? Wow. Beyond the just.plain.wrong. and kinda gross factor of that, it's sad to see even women in full body armor being objectified.
