Just needed a way to vent my mathematical frustrations...so I'm just trying to express impressed I am in the most confusing way possible. Don't worry guys...I'm not knockin Halo in any way shape or form.

Would be really odd if it was leaked - it's not even up yet for those of us who have the game. But those playlists seem likely.

On a serious note, for a console game, Halo 3 pushes the bar pretty far out of reach for the competition.

There's competition? I'm being serious. What game since Halo 2 was released pushed the console multiplayer bar like Halo 2 did? I cannot recall a single console game that offered stat tracking, online functionality, matchmaking, a functional party system and the gameplay and graphics to back it up. Not one single game this "next generation" offered what a "last generation game did 3 years ago. Halo all the fuckin' way.
 
Bungie is fantastic with its community and I think that there, makes them fucking huge winners. I mean we have Senor Stinkles and Lukey in our fucking epic Halo 3 Gaf Muerte thread.

EDIT - Maxpl, custom match search is out since it would diminish the population in matchmaking, so they made it strictly matchmaking only.

Read the end, or my last post. I wasn't being serious...trying to be convulted...I've had a stressful day and was hoping to vent some of it by saying that with Forge Bungie has eclipsed everything I imagined they'd do...but phrasing it in a confusing way. Apparently I was quite obvious enough, despite the disclaimer at the end saying that that wasnt what I was doing.
 
I just went to preorder two copies of the game at Gamestop, one standard and one limited. They said there were no limiteds left, only standard. So I only put money down for the standard so I can still play it at midnight.

If I look around a little I should be able to find a limited edition somewhere the next day right? Right? I really want that bonus dvd...

thats stupid. people are still gonna play custom matches regardless of it not being available, so why not just give us something we want.

and no offense to bungie, but from a gameplay perspective i think this custom game search is a much more useful feature than saved films.

If I wanted, I could go right now to my local game shop and buy the LE version of Halo 2, three years later. You'll have no problem finding it, I'm sure.

Apparently they are unlocked through achievements. Don't quote me on that but I know that you have to unlock most of them.

Unlocked by completing various tasks. For example,
after beating the game (at least, I think that's what did it), I unlocked a new armor set.
 
For you Firefly fans, I won't ruin everything (there are more than one Firefly references), but if you'll recall from GC, Nathan Fillion voices a marine. Something cool is that
he actually goes by the name "Reynolds." And he's got a pretty big part! It's really, really powerful to hear him in a sci-fi setting again.
