Do you know if their locations were given to Prima for the strategy guide? I really, really hope not. Even so, there are some skulls that don't give achievements, so they wouldn't be listed in the guide, right? I'm just hoping for some epic, long lasting skull-hunting.

Like I quoted, HighImpactHalo doesn't even know the effects of all of the skulls, and it's been three years. It'd be lousy if Prima printed it all and the fans didn't get to discover it for themselves.

Nope, they were not given the locations of any skulls. That's not to say that they don't have some of them in there--but I can 100% promise that they don't have all of them.

, but when I play legendarily, I plan on devoting my time to nooks and cranies.

Btw, I think I found at least one thing you mentioned earlier today, in that level we talked about. I'd have to say that the aforementioned level is one of the greatest things to ever grace videogamedom. It and the level after it are better than anything and everything either Halo game has ever devised and for that matter any other game. Fucking period.

That is awesome. I hope some of them are crazy hard to find. I want to be here 3 months from now saying "What the hell? Why can't I find this damn skull?!"

Oh, wow. Thanks. That's very good to hear. Even if they have some listed, it makes it better knowing they discovered them on their own.

I assume you guys are talking about level 7 with the two scarab battle and air-strike goodness. That was pretty incredible, indeed.

Also, the terminals were a fantastic idea, and they are really neat looking.

Well, I believe that it took more than a year, maybe even two years to find the last few skulls from Halo 2, as some even have to be activated by doing very precise things...

And we found out from ever since the IMAX theater sowing that there are are even more skulls than the ones you get the Achievements for, which got me excited, because at first I thought that Bungie had went easy on fans and made them easy enough to find to awards them an Achievement, but to my delight, there are much more to find!

I wonder if it'll take a few years to find/activate the rest again this time around - the skulls were really one of the most fun things I loved about Halo 2 Campaign, in fact, I love Easter eggs in games in general...

There was a space in the .rss feed preventing iTunes from grabbing the file, I screwed it upz. Should be fixed now on Live, but I don't know how often iTunes culls its feeds, either. Direct download and B.net rss are both working tho.

I just ctrl-F5'd the RSS and I still see the space.

Im fluent in spanish but I just make fun of it mostly since like I look non mexican and just reword things in the most rediculous ways. Also for the record, spanish is the fucking funniest language ever.

Thanks for the reply Luke, no worries. I was wanting to download it from there also so I could do my part for Bungie to take over iTunes #1 spot. Either way it will be on my ipod when I go to stand in line on Monday so I don't get spoiled by some numbnut while waiting.
 
Forge is amazing but I can't help but feel...I dunno.

I mean...Halo fans everywhere expected Halo to be great. Beyond great...great beyond imagine. It's been expected that Bungie would dream up ways to impress us that we couldn't possibly imagine they'd pull off.

I would say that the bar was set at the game doing things we couldn't have possibly have hoped for before it was announced. Is anyone dissapointed that they've only hit that bar? I mean...don't get me wrong...it's awesome what we're seeing in the ViDoc...but all Bungie has done here is hit the bar...they've succeeded in doing things we couldn't have imagined they'd do...but I kindof expected them to go further. I kindof expected them to beat what I expected them to...when I expected them to do things I couldn't have imagined them doing...does that make sense? I mean..I wish they could've done more than I couldn't have possibly imagined them to do.

Oh well...I guess what's there, being only beyond what I imagined they would do, is good enough.



Disclaimer: I've been doing math homework for about 6 hours and wanted to find a stupid and nonsensical way of expressing how amazed I am by the latest ViDoc. Halo 3 looks to be everything I could've imagined plus alot more, and I'm not dissapointed in the least by it. Quite the opposite...actually.

Honestly, I didn't imagine any of the shit were getting. I just expected the campaign and multi player. But we are getting like this whole package of awesomeness. The one thing I really wanted was to fly a pelican, but I guess that will be done when Halo Online is released in 20 years.

Definately Legendary. Bungie's already said Legendary for any group of four players.

On a serious note, for a console game, Halo 3 pushes the bar pretty far out of reach of the competition.

NJ X FALKOR, that is a difficult question to answer. If you have a dedicated team of four, then do Legendary. You guys might be able to plow through the game in a few days. Without any knowledge of the encounters, though, it's more like Legendary+2. Good luck. :lol
