Halo is Halo and is going to be Halo. There's nothing going to change that. This is Halo with better graphics, a continuation of the story, added features and more weapons. But guess what, it's still Halo.
 
I bet full Hayabusa, if there are options for the shoulders, etc. will look pretty bad ass.

As it is, we haven't even seen it from the front.

I also think this is a really fuckin' rad way to give a return nod to Team Ninja.

There's a different between arguing the identity of game and how much it has changed/improved/added to the franchise. Some people (mistakenly) still argue the latter is insignificant.

It's def. a really cool nod. No doubt about that. Hopefully one day there will be a dirtbag armor perm crafted in my image, then you guys can relive all your fantasies of being master of universe, and captain of WIN.

Which brings up the Helghast variant. Looks like they're giving a nod to Guerrilla as well. I'd also venture to guess that they obtained permission for both from the respective houses.

-Elephant being blown sky-high, filled with recharging fusion coils
-Crazy Guardian map filled with gravity lifts and teleporters so no one was even touching the ground
-The improved way the water reacted to the Warthog landing in it - perfection
-Flamethrower!

The way Bungie's feature set overlaps with each other - saved films and Forge, campaign co-op and skulls and saved films, etc - makes the entire feature set become larger than the sum if its parts. After beating Campaign on Heroic, I literally don't know what to do after that.

Yeah, that Vi-Doc was amazingly well cut and just had plain awesome footage. Cuts to incredibly fun footage, increasingly faster and faster and then monks and Bungie logo. So much concentrated goodness.

I've said it before, Bunge isn't releasing a game but something akin to a platform.

Exactly and thus why the games are good. Sometimes developers try to hard to make things different, but if the first game was successful don't change it build on it.

up to chapter 8 now, damn, this game delivers.

If it was this, just this, the single player only, I would still be happy.

Fanboy am total tho, read all the books etc.

It's fine. A lot of people weren't around for that. I simply forgot that's where I heard it and thought most everyone else had heard it, as well. That's my bad.

Nah, he'll play through every difficulty level because the guys is a Halo freak.
