Are people gonna take their cameras to the midnight launches? I wanna compare the one im going to to some in the States.

Hell i was listening to a popular station here in PR today and they were talking about Halo3. :lol

The Pirates didn't win at all...they had to wait till some UK dealers broke the street event, no gold master was stolen a month before it was in retail.

I am. I was in that Gamestop tonight picking up Growlanser. The manager said based on responses from their outbound calls (that I got last week), they're expecting 150ish people to show up, plus however many non-preorder people show up, which probably won't be a huge amount. I confirmed that it WILL be catered (one of their regulars owns a catering business, so they help each other out or something apparently), and the live band is going to be heavy metal. There's no way I CAN'T go to this, I must take pics.
 
Have any of you watched the DVD stuff yet? I want to know all of Bungie's little secrets.

I have so many burning Bungie questions:

1. Does Frankie have laser eyes?
2. Do they spread "win sauce" on their ham sandwiches instead of mayo?
3. Does Luke REALLY whore the long rifle?

Question about campaign:
Have you unlocked any of the terminals yet? I haven't played the game so I don't want details but do they divulge any information about the Halo universe.

Quite possibly.

I really don't know what I'll do first. Probably cry at the all the HD awesomeness.

Playing campaign co-op with my Dad will be so cool. He's actually a pretty good player. We only get to play co-op on occasion, but now it can be more regular. I'm pretty proud of the old man, not bad at all for a 62 year old.

Is the split-screen horizontal like the beta or vertical like Halo 2? If its horizontal are there black bars on the side (like the beta)?

Only one. And alone, it wasn't enough to mean anything to me. Maybe once I add to it, it'll make sense.

And that's what I like about this game. For you, it's multiplayer. Between Forge and the new Custom options (player traits FTW) it will never get old.

Me? Online co-op, skulls and Campaign Scoring FTW. Oh, and I'll dabble in MP as well. And saved films and the b.net features. And

They can if they're very, very careful, although that could change at any time. Microsoft used the Beta to lure lots of people out of hiding before unleashing their first round of flashed DVD firmware detection bannings.

been mentioned by Bungie? As far as I know, you can't unlock them while in a co-op game. I tried when I had a friend over for split-screen, and it didn't work when I pressed RB. If you do it by yourself
you're treated to a nice effect when accessing the terminal, and some information, Marathon-style (I presume, haven't really played it. Don't shoot!).

They were mentioned in the leaked achievements but I don't think bungie has officially talked about them so I wouldn't go into them without spoilers. I'm definitely looking forward to them though.

Tomorrow is going to prove most interesting. Does the tracking number confirm the item has shipped? Tracking numbers don't usually tell you when your product will actually arrive, only that your product is in transit.
