Regarding the NewEgg situation; by the looks of things they only have a handful of people manning the Live Chat, all of which probably sit literally feet away from each other, so I'm pretty sure they would have started to discuss amongst themselves as to why every single customer is so interested in exactly the same question.
If they aren't going to ship and deliver them early now, then you guys only have yourselves to blame by spamming their Live Chat with the same question.

Are we getting a pre-launch surprise?! You know, I thought it would be awesome if Bungie had this huge download ready for midnight on the 25th. So even if you got it early, you couldn't spoil it because, well, it wasn't there. Like a new MP map or something along those lines.
