(As an additional precaution guys, set your xbox zone to family or recreation, less douche bags that care about spoilers play there. But I'm pretty much in a bubble now on live thanks to ghaleon's privacy setttings advantage!)

I've just set everything to friends only, it looks like I will be safe, barring any douche relapses from my existing friends. Wow. That shit was crazy. Buttonbasher's battlefield analogy was dead on. It was horrible watching my comrades get mercilessly spoiled, as I was left untouched (for now) by some lucky twist of fate.

A few questions for anyone in the know...
A friend and I are planning on playing co-op Legendary once Halo 3 releases. So basically, we were wondering if we'll get the achievement for beating the game on Legendary even though we're playing co-op. Just to make sure it isn't single player specific.
Also, we're wondering about the meta-game. We've heard that we should be able to turn this meta-game on and off at will during co-op. Will this meta-game effect the game at all? I mean, it would suck to have turned the meta-game on during co-op play only to have beaten the game on Legendary and not get the achievement for it due to said metagame. Finally, Will the meta-game effect the story segments of the campaign as well? Like, would the cutscenes still appear while it's on?
