Yeah I figured that mighta been the case, but this thread is such a monster I just refused to hunt through all the damn pages. Especially with all the scares of spoilers lately.

I've been stepping out for short periods of time when I see an increase in the number of black bars.
 
it's so nice not to be a gamer anymore. i don't have the slightest desire to go to places or click links that would put me at a higher risk of seeing spoilers.

now if only i could control those mouthbreathing dimwits i work around.

I have lost all interest in Halo 3.. not because it looks bad or something... but because over the past month I have basically trained my self to not even think about it.

Also when did u get ur new tag? its fucking awesome.

i haven't been following games at all in a long time. truthfully. during e3, the only videos i saw were the halo 3 reel, the unfortunate halo live action spot, and a mass effect trailer. beyond that, all i saw were a few heavenly sword screenshots. i've literally taken in nothing else at all from e3. so pleasant not to care. i know what i want to play, but why obsess over it? that's so 2004.

about the tag, i think bishoptl put it in place when he enforced my ban bet with pepsiman regarding july npd. he had ps3 going over 200k, if you recall. i had the under.
 
Question for anyone who has seen the ending:

Master Chief detonates a Halo to kill the Covenant and save Earth. He dies in the process, gets a hero's funeral and ends up with the Arbiter giving an eulogy.

After the credits, MC hasn't died; he may be in an alternate dimension, and goes back into a cyro-chamber.

Please tell me that isn't true, that's the worst thing I have ever read.

so true... I am slowly doing the same. Barely watch game videos anymore... barely argue in console sales threads anymore... just been playing XBLA and Bioshock the past month.

I look forward to Halo 3... but I am not counting down the days like I did for Halo 2. I will be there in Times Square at Midnight on launch... and I will play the hell out of it... but I won't be on here as much anymore.
 
Sort of off-topic question... Anyone know if the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable includes a Y-adapter? I want to use my 360 on my monitor, but I don't have speakers for the audio. I plug my headphones directly into my PC, so I need to pick up a Y-adapter. I don't want to pick an extra one up by mistake.

The MS one does. Third-party packages don't.

Unbelievable. I really am starting to pity some people.

Some idiot seems to get kicks out of spoiling the game for some people.

Edit: BTW, I don't know if what he says is real, I'm just assuming.
